Just in time for the beginning of the end, SwiftKey 3 has been updated to include some Summer fun. Inside the newest version you will find two new themes which are shown off above, voice input for Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean, along with a new feature called Smart Space. Smart Space fixes typos even if you miss spaces as you quickly type. To get a look at the full changelog, we have it below.

I still use SwiftKey, but ever since it updated to version 3, the auto-correct SUCKS BIG TIME. Especially words with apostrophes or very short words. Just doesn’t seem to be as good as it was
This was an issue month or two ago. Have you updated your swiftkey language packs? It fixed that problem.
awesome! New voice input is much better and chrome bug is fixed from what I can tell.
Why are all of the Swipe themes so ugly. Please let people create their own, or hire a designer.

Worth the purchase in the Play Store. They’re top dog when it comes to 3rd party keyboards, IMO.
got it for free on Amazon as the free app of the day a while back. just takes a few extra days for the updates to get up onto Amazon store.

I love this keyboard but I hate having to hold the comma button to get speech to text to pop up. Very annoying. Get rid of that and its perfect!
Too bad I still use SwipeIT more because at least it has sane Auto-correct and not ones that duplicate words when backspacing likliklikliklikliklike that.
That was a bug only in Chrome with SwiftKey and it was fixed in this version.
Time to put swift key back on my phone.
When are they going to let us put on custom themes!? Or how hard would it be to give us 4 color pickers!? I just want to pick my own colors!
When I was trying the beta I had this strange problem where touch input (on the main home screen for instance) wouldn’t register. Basically clicking icons would take a couple tries sometimes. It was more of an annoyance, but some searching showed other results where people were running the SK beta. After I uninstalled everything was good and back to normal.
Has anyone else run into this and/or is it fixed?
Haven’t used Swype since my OG and my DX. Swiftkey all the way on the GNex and definately Thumb Keyboard on my Xoom (which is basically my son’s Netflix device anyways)
THANK YOU SWIFTKEY TEAM! Now you’re unquestionably the best. Had a workaround — every time I wanted to use ICS or JB voice, I had to pull down the notifications blind, tap “select input method” and “google voice typing.” This is soooo much simpler.
For the voice input, does it type as you speak? I scanned through the video and it didn’t show anything.

I don’t think the punctuation slider is new. I’ve had it for a couple weeks.
If you can swype and can’t be out typed by this keyboard. Nothing special just don’t understand why it’s so hyped up.
Some people don’t like Swype or just prefer typing maybe. I definitely prefer Swype now, but I used swiftkey at first because I thought Swype was more annoying than useful.
i find that if you turn off auto correction and add your words in to the dictionary on swype it does a great job. swift key feels like a weird to me. i like the default keyboard better.
I liked Swiftkey when it first became available for the EVO 4G. Heard an interview with Switkey developer, tried it and there was no going back. For the way I type, Swiftkey spits it out faster, simple as that.
I typically find that there are two styles of typing. If you are a two hand typer, then SwiftKey seems to have the advantage. If you type with one hand then Swype seems to have the advantage.
Those are the 3 ugliest themes I’ve ever seen. I really like cobalt though. I’ve modified cobalt a little to my liking, but it’s very nice and sleek.
What’d you modify on it?
Darker cobalt. Higher saturation blue.

yep the backspacing, jumping around and adding blocks of letters, it was pretty annoyingnnoyingnnoyinnooying

I have been using swiftkey for 4 months and voice to text always worked for me since i’ve had it since beta
Right but the issue was that it didn’t have ICS and Jelly Bean voice to text.
