Kicking off tomorrow morning at 9am PDT, and that’s 12pm for all you East Coast readers, HTC has an ‘Uh-Oh’ announcement for US customers. Thankfully, HTC will be streaming the event, so everyone and anyone can tune in and see what they are up to.
As to what we anticipate, we believe HTC will announce availability for the One M9, coupled with immediate availability on T-Mobile. T-Mobile also has an event planned for tomorrow, so it being a coincidence seems unlikely, but anything is still possible.
Last year, as soon as HTC unveiled the One M8, they made it available on Verizon, and that seemed to spark quite a bit of excitement among buyers. The ability to announce a product, then have it immediately available does help in terms of a Blitzkrieg-type marketing approach.

HTC really dropped the ball again. I’m sure that the m9 will be a good phone, but they seriously underestimated how much people want their phones to be aesthetically pleasing as well. Unless somebody has to have front facing speakers, people will flock to the s6. I am ready to switch away from my Note 3 due to the lack of front speakers, but refuse to pay full price for a phone that looks like the m9. The first 2 generations are excusable, but motorola and Sony have both shown you can have good front speakers with small bezels. I’m holding out hope that they will come to their senses with a MaxV2 with the evleaks design. Otherwise, I’ll just hold on to my N3 until it dies. If there’s a second generation Nexus 6 that has its poor battery life problem solved and a camera that lives up to the price they’re asking, then I’ll get that since it looks like Sony isn’t doing any more phablets.

Deep down, I still want to believe they are announcing this phone for a June or July release.
This design in a Max version would have had me taking a sledgehammer to my galaxy note 3.
I’ll check it out tomorrow after work if it’s available at T-Mobile. Boomsound better blow my pants off!! That’s the 1 feature I’m looking forward too. I’m a rare breed and actually play music through the speakers quite a bit. Also I don’t want it to be as tall as the M8 was.
Well, you’re in luck then. The Boomsound is supposed to be enhanced and the phone is not as tall as the M8.

In all fairness to HTC, they don’t appear to have called it an “uh oh” event, instead the email invite subject line was “Missing out would be a big UH OH”.
The way Droid-Life twisted it around makes it look like DL are slipping back towards the click-bait editorializing that eventually made me stop reading some other sites. C’mon DL, you’re better than that!
