At the beginning of this month, Google dropped a new Pixel 11 updater on us without saying a word about it. The update, which was only available to the Pixel 11 series, didn’t even make it to Google’s factory images page. In fact, it’s still not there.
But weirdly, yesterday, Google posted another September build for the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold as CD1A.260905.001.B1, only this time it did make it to their official images pages.
We still don’t have a changelog or list of features or bug fixes that may be a part of it, so we’ll assume that means it is mostly just a new September security patch. This is still Android 17 and available right away if you own a Pixel 11 series device.
We are expecting Android 17 QPR1 to go stable at some point this month as a Pixel Feature Drop. Google has not hinted at when that might rollout, but it could be at any moment or on any day.
That first surprise September Pixel 11 update was CD1A.260905.001.A1.
To check for updates on your Pixel phone, head into Settings>System>System updates>System update>Check for update.
