T-Mobile introduced the Essentials Unlimited 55+ plan designed for customers aged 55+ this week, but of course, they also took the opportunity to talk smack to the other carriers, except for Sprint, of course.
This plan, along with the more expensive Magenta Unlimited 55 plan, is as straightforward as it gets. For $55/month, you get two lines of unlimited talk, text, and data. You also get unlimited 3G speed tethering and access to T-Mobile Tuesdays. If you only need a single line, the price is $40/month. These prices are with Autopay and do not include taxes and fees.
If you need more, there’s the Magenta Unlimited 55 plan. That has all of the above, plus 3GB of high-speed hotspot data, free data and texting abroad, plus 1 hour of free in-flight WiFi on supported flights. The price for this is $70/month with Autopay and includes all taxes and fees in that price.
You can head into a T-Mobile store or go online to get these new plans starting tomorrow, September 6.
