Samsung says the Galaxy Fold is ready to hit the market, after having to iron out a few display issues that were discovered shortly after the device was seeded out to influencers/media. Real quick, let’s appreciate the pun of having to iron out a display that literally has a crease running down the middle of it. This stuff doesn’t write itself, people.

Speaking at a conference yesterday, Samsung Display Vice President Kim Seong-cheol stated that “most” of the display’s issues have been sorted. With most being fixed, that means there are still potential issues, but no details were provided as to which issues may still be present.

Samsung has yet to provide an official release date for the Galaxy Fold.

The real question is, how many people are going to buy this device? If you were on the fence back in April and then saw what happened when it got it in the hands of device reviewers (they almost all seemed to break), there’s no way you’re buying this thing, right? And what about all the cancelled pre-orderers? Do those people feel confident Samsung worked out all of the kinks?

We’ll keep you posted on release date news.
