Cricket announced this morning that its two lower tier plans are getting an extra boost of data come November 5, without a price hike.
Their 1GB-$30 plan will now have 2GB “high-speed” data, while the 4GB-$40 plan will jump to 5GB “high-speed” data. Yes, I quoted “high-speed” because Cricket deploys a permanent throttle at all times to their download speeds. That throttle is set at 8Mbps. If you are on Cricket, you likely already knew that, though.
Alright, so on November 5, if you are already subscribed to one of those plans, you’ll automatically be bumped up to the higher data amount! Sweet!
