Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 With S Pen Available October 28 for $350

A new tablet will soon be available from Samsung, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1″. Featuring an obvious 10.1″ (1920 x 1200) LCD display, the Galaxy Tab A comes with an S Pen, Exynos 7870 octa-core processor, plus microSD support.

Other specifications include 3GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, 7,300mAh battery, 8MP rear-facing camera with auto focus, 2MP front-facing camera, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and Android “Marshmallow.”

Given that Samsung also includes support for the S Pen, potential buyers can expect all of the great S Pen applications, such as Notes, Action Memo, and Scrapbook. Just like the Galaxy Note 7, as soon as you take out the S Pen, options for features will pop up on your screen for easy access.

The Galaxy Tab A launches October 28, priced at $350. Samsung states it will be available at select retailers, but has yet to list any. As of right now, Samsung says it will be on its own web store.

if weight is around 400 grams, this could be good for comic books…

Only 16 geebees, huh… Insult to injury – Touchwiz as well. Full of “meh” at that price…

There is still no good replacement for the Note Pro 12.2 that I’m using the bluetooth keyboard case and mouse with right now. The new Chromebook Pro with the “Pen” is looking promising, but not sure when that will be coming out. However, this is a good midrange tablet. I bought the less expensive smaller version of the Tab A for my daughter earlier this year and she has loved it so far.

I’m with you, still love my 12.2 with the Samsung keyboard and mouse. I also own the first Tab A 9.7 and the 8.0 and they are fine for the price. I travel with them all the time and they perform quite well. I will buy the note 8 or whatever the call it when it comes out.

Why does samsung keep giving us 16 gigs tablets

It sure makes it easier for me to dismiss it. 32GB minimum, 64 GB would be an ideal base storage in 2015.

It’s called SD card. new invention so you may not have heard of them.

But, don’t some apps, and their data, only allow you to store them on the internal memory? I would think that a person would want at least 32gb internal, just to have that peace of mind. Since we are talking about a larger screened device, I would guess that someone might put more games and other entertainment apps on it. Games and movies and the like are usually very large.

Bigger device means bigger explosions!!! ???

While I knew explosion jokes were incoming, if I was considering this I’d honestly wait a bit after it hit the market to see if not just that but anything else deal breaking was wrong with it. Articles are coming out saying Samsung still isn’t sure of the exact source of the problem.

May explode unexpectedly. Some assembly required. Void where prohibited.

          Why not?
They never even tried to elaborated why Note 7’s are blowing up, and with those “safe” units catching fire too really did it for me.

Still no true replacement for the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition sadly.

This one has 1/2 the internal storage and no AMOLED screen. It’s a step backwards in every way other than (maybe) the CPU and the OS version.

They did the same with the Tab S2 compared to the Tab S. They went from 16:10 to 4:3 (subjective step backwards), smaller battery, and lower screen resolution.

I have the Best Buy version with 32GB and 64 GB SDCard rooted and a non Touchwiz Kit-Kat debloated rom and it is 2 !/2 years later still snappy and working fine. I agree 16:10 better personal preference. Better for movies YouTube etc. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/d0fbf410fbf509fac6043b081d82bcc472dd5229a1fed48a536eb886a93fec22.png https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/920b29f2ce76c2d56e64964fa9da75862cb9c66564b09b41e2f3b17aee1eacf2.png https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/d1597d41110797c29c5c0dd57461b7f9768937285d0e3cc4a1fbee9fee3889c4.png

I have the 8.4 16GB version with a 64GB card as well. I installed a custom Marshmallow ROM, haven’t bothered installing the Nougat one someone made for it yet. The tablet still does everything I care for it to and runs great. The battery performance isn’t the best anymore even after a replacement but I primarily use it at work plugged in anyway and for video watching which is also why I prefer 16:10.

This. 2014 Note users are stranded with a great device. I love this thing. I was gonna upgrade to the Tab A w/ S-Pen earlier this year, but soon saw that it was a downgrade, even with it being 2 years newer than note 10.1 2014….

At least the 7870 seems like a decent performer for the price http://vr-zone.com/articles/samsung-galaxy-on7-2016-appears-geekbench-exynos-7870-soc-3gb-ram/112517.html
