For the most part, living in the US has its perks, but not when it comes to beta testing upcoming OS updates. Over the years, we have seen major OS updates hit Poland, South Korea, and other various markets well ahead of any US penetration. Today, that trend continues, as LG has opened up a very limited beta test for Nougat to G5 owners.

According to LG, this beta is limited to just 2,000 people, which is virtually nobody. To get the update, select G5 owners must download the OS Preview application from Google Play, but again, if you are reading this in the US, don’t bother trying to download the app because you won’t find it.

LG is also open to customer feedback on the Nougat update, ensuring that the company is committed to bringing timely updates to existing device owners. As someone who purchases new devices somewhat frequently, that’s always good to hear.

Now, LG, bring that preview program to America.
