Tip: Galaxy S6 May be the New King of Quick Camera Launching

The Samsung Galaxy S6 (and S6 Edge) may be the new king of quick camera launching, thanks to the addition of a double-tap action on the home button that launches the phone’s camera at any time from anywhere (seriously, anywhere – with the phone asleep or in an app). I’m not kidding – this is faster than Motorola’s wrist twist move, HTC’s never-reliable turn-phone-hit-volume-down gesture, and the struggle that often ensues when trying to find-then-hold down LG’s rear volume down key. Couple Samsung’s double-tap with the fact that the camera is also insanely fast to focus and shoot a picture, and you really do have the new champion.

To toggle the setting on or off, head into your camera, open up the settings menu and look for “Quick Launch.”
