Final builds of the Android 5.0 developer preview are now available for download, containing updated APIs which are in the final build of Lollipop that will be rolled out to most Android users.
The developer previews have been very important for the ecosystem, allowing third party developers besides just Google to update applications to be more inline with Mountain View’s new design guidelines. Material Design is quite the upgrade over Jelly Bean and Kit Kat, so preparing developers for the massive changes has been a top priority for Google.
The preview builds are downloadable by owners of the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7, so if you have been following in on the fun with the developers, or you are a developer yourself, go grab ’em.
Edit: Google’s site is all sorts of broken. Here are direct download links – Nexus 5 | Nexus 7 (2013)
