The Galaxy Note 3 is obviously the newest version of Samsung’s popular oversized smartphone line with all sorts of new additions, but if there was one area where we were hoping to see an “Oh, hell naw!” from Samsung with a foot forcefully stomped to the ground, it would be over Verizon’s branding of the phone’s front home button. We made a colossal stink over the Galaxy Note 2’s front-branded home button last year, and were prepared to go thermonuclear-Jobs-style-war again if the Note 3 had it. Thankfully, that won’t be happening this time around.

Verizon has already mentioned that this year’s model wouldn’t carry their logo on the front physical home button, but these new official images of the device posted to Best Buy give us an extra batch of relief.

In the listing for the Galaxy Note 3 on Verizon, we get views of both the front and back. As you can see from the top image, the physical home button is as clean as can be. The backside on the other hand, does indeed feature Big Red logos of “Verizon” and “4G LTE,” but those are pretty standard these days, just ask the HTC One.

Mmmm, faux leather. So tasteful. (/s)
