The release date for the HTC Thunderbolt is the silliest thing in mobile these days. The device is ready, has been previewed by every tech site on the planet (our hands-on gallery and video), and has absolutely zero secrets except for when it will actually be released to the world. Will it be the 14th or the 24th? We still have no idea, but we do know that Best Buy is prepping to take pre-orders for it that will cost you $50 according to their new ad. Of course, this news is also coupled with a “coming soon” tag which shouldn’t surprise anyone at this point.
We’ll stick with our theory that pre-orders start on the 14th and the phone actually hitting stores on the 24th. How else can we use both dates?
