A few new 4G LTE markets on AT&T’s network went live this week, ranging from rural Nevada to Amsterdam, New York. AT&T continues to push forward with the high-speed network rollout, and soon, they will be complete and standing alongside Verizon with a country blanketed in LTE. As consumers, we enjoy that very much.

This morning, AT&T announced 10 new 4G LTE markets scattered across the U.S., with Texas appearing to have received the most love with 4 new markets all for themselves. AT&T has been great about posting up new markets each week, and at this rate, they should be caught up to Verizon in no time at all.

This morning, AT&T announced a big list of new 4G LTE markets throughout the country, even expanding its reach up to the Fairbanks metropolitan area in Alaska. That makes it the third LTE market in Alaska on AT&T’s network, right after Anchorage and Juneau.

Verizon announced its plans to launch the Ellipsis 7 tablet onto its 4G LTE network this morning, starting November 7 at just $249.99. The tablet features a 7″ HD display, front-facing camera and 4G LTE, but all other specs are unknown at this time. There is no official word on the processor, display resolution, storage or anything else that might be important to potential customers as of right now. (more…)
AT&T announced another group of newly launched 4G LTE markets this morning, finally including some more west coast love. Seemed like for a while there that only the mid-west was seeing new light ups. The company is still touting its LTE network not only as the fastest in America, but also the most reliable according to third-party data. They are pretty much right behind Verizon’s number of total LTE markets, which sits a little over 500. (more…)
This morning, Sprint announced the light up of 45 new 4G LTE markets in America, bringing their total LTE market number to 230. That number has grown quite a bit this year, but the company is still far behind AT&T and Verizon’s market counts. Much like T-Mobile, both of these companies have been playing catch up ever since Verizon launched its first LTE city back in 2011. (more…)
A week or so ago, a rumor surfaced suggesting that Google may introduce a Nexus 4 with LTE alongside the Nexus 5. As you are all well aware, the Nexus 4 originally launched last year without LTE, something many couldn’t give Google a pass for. In a day filled with nothing but LTE, the lack of it in Google’s flagship smartphone was inexcusable. But what if they were to re-introduce the phone again this year, only this time with LTE on board? According to a Bluetooth SIG filing that dropped yesterday, there may be a chance of that happening.
