The launch of 4G LTE was silly times and the names for some Android devices back in the day surely didn’t help. There was the DROID Xyboard, HTC Thunderbolt, DROID Charge, and a gang of other silly device names.

Well, in 2013, SNL decided to poke fun at Verizon’s 4G LTE and the device names they were offering. Looking back, it’s pretty funny, but made perfect sense to us. If you’re looking for a bigger laugh, just look at the current 5G naming schemes. What a mess.

Did you own any of these devices? I know we have some Thunderbolt faithful in the house.

Cheers Joe!
