SEGA’s Sonic Dash Now Available on Google Play

Sonic Dash

The official Sonic Dash, published by SEGA America, is finally available on Android. It’s been making the iOS rounds for a bit, but we finally got it. Sonic Dash is pretty easy to explain – just picture Temple Run being played with a character that isn’t boring. In this title, you whizz around massive levels filled with coins you must gobble up, but watch out for those baddies. You go through loops, hit power ups, jump, duck, swerve, fight boss characters, and pretty much all of your other classic Sonic controls.

The game is free to download right from Google Play, but much like Temple Run or other games such as this, you can expect to see some IAPs to help boost your scores and get you further in the game.

Check out the trailer down below, but beware…there’s dubstep.

I also use and enjoy every part of this Games. I know it is very good and easy to understand but you don’t compare to Google play games that are product.

  • Andrew Chiu

temple run sonic. how come it’s taken sega this long to make this game?

    • Trevor Philips

Its been out for a long time in ios

The game is smooth on my GS3 and Venue 8. But I uninstalled it because of the massive amounts of video commercials that play every other menu click. I think I saw 6 video ads pop up in 10 secs of navigating. Terrible.

  • zanza

very laggy on the nexus 4. on ipad the game is perfect.

  • Drew Chapman

Love the game hate the adds

    • Valerie Rub

Adds is sites earning Every Webmaster want to earn money through his page.

  • MrOrange645

Yup. Seemed fun until I saw the ads. Uninstalled. I dont mind an ad bbarat the top or bottom, but full screen videos killed the experience.

  • charles anderson

The game is very fun but my god the ads make it basically not even with trying

Not compatible with Droid Maxx (I would assume the full line of 2013 Droids are in this boat, potentially the Moto X as well), or Galaxy Nexus.

    • EvanTheGamer

Yeah, Galaxy Nexus isn’t supported either. Strange.

    • bionicwaffle

No Maxx HD either so it’s not just this years Droids.

  • EvanTheGamer

Just a heads up: Think the youtube player is a bit too big. Some of the older posts/ads are slightly overlapping the bottom of the video.

  • BlackMaGiC1o0

Game looks got, but I just looked at the comments and all of them are saying how intrusive the ads are. And I mean thats like 85% of the complaints. If they can some how port sonic adventure to Android that would be sick!

    • EvanTheGamer

If your device is rooted, just use an ad blocker(like AdAway) to get rid of the in-game ads. I don’t encourage anyone to do this, but hey, just sayin’.

  • Daniel Garcia

I searched for this on the google play store through my phone and found nothing. I went through the Google Play Store online and was able to find the app and turns out it is compatible with my nexus 4/5 & 7 (2013). YAY!

  • Casey Megginson

Compatible with my Transformer but not my Galaxy Nexus. WTF?

  • Cass Rack

I can’t find the game on the Play Store. What’s the deal? 3′:

    ZING! haha

Thanks for the heads up, man. Will put another game I’m finding to be quite addicting on hold to play Sonic Dash! Sweet!

  • cjohn4043

It would have been cooler if they would have expanded this game into a full fledged Sonic game and not just make it another copy of Temple Run.

  • Shane Redman

-_- not compatible for my phone….but N7 yes

Compatible on my N7 2012 and G2, but not my Thunderbolt
