EA Game’s Madden 25 Hits Android Via Google Play, Free to Install

Madden 25

Football fans, it’s time to go grab Madden 25 from Google Play. EA Games launched the title for Android today, which is free to install for everyone running Android 2.0+. Although, if you want the full experience and a ton of added plays and features, you might be looking at some hefty in-app purchases. Keep that in mind if you plan on getting through a whole season.

The game features everything you would imagine from a Madden title – full-licensed teams, player names, and all of that jazz. One of the great features of this title is that you can create and customize your own NFL team, taking any player you choose from today’s NFL roster. Finally, an All-Star lineup that will put on a better show than the Pro Bowl attempts to each year.

And speaking of football, are you still in the running for this year’s Droid Life Eliminator Challenge?

This game weighs in at 1.08 GB….

  • NYCLawyer

I’m not giving up 1.2 GB on my Nexus to download this. Doesn’t that seem a tad excessive for any App?

    • BSweetness

Not for games with higher resolution graphics. Sizes around that have pretty much been the norm for awhile now.

That’s why internal storage matters so much, especially with a wide range of apps taking advantage of higher resolution displays and offering more content.

damn that’s light reading compared to others i have dl’d ie MC4 is around 2.5GB.

Is that screenshot from the n64 madden?

  • Inspector Butters

Not compatible with my Xoom WiFi. Wtf mate.

  • Daeshaun Griffiths

Ravens lost first game to an amazing broncos performance so no, i’m not still in it.
madden doesn’t look very fun on small screens, or without a controller. Can anyone vouch for tablets?

    • Tebow

Why would you pick the Ravens over the Broncos?!?!?! WTF?!

      • Bobby Cornwell

Your name is Tebow though…. Anything you say invalid

        • michael bourgoin

agreed, but there were much easier games to pick first week. That game was a toss up at best

    • Revenge game and you go with the Chumps??? Sorry champs… typo.

      • Daeshaun Griffiths

        i think i’ve been a ravens fan since 08. or 09…

Haven’t played Madden in 3 years. Bought the special edition from Amazon this year specifically because of the Sunday Ticket deal. Haven’t even looked at the disc since I removed the coupon.

    • J2000pro

Same here. I went to play it on the Xbox and it threw up an error when I tried to update the rosters. Xbox went to it’s usual state of off, and hasn’t been on since.

And I still hate EA…they are the worst company when it comes to squeezing every last penny out their fan base. I am so glad that NCAA did not renew with them.

    • bvgillis

I hate to break this to you…..

NCAA didn’t renew with EA because they are currently being sued by current and former college athletes because the NCAA was profiting from the names and likeness of the athletes while at the same time preventing them, by rule, from profiting from their own reputations or likeness.

Essentially, the NCAA was making money from the players while preventing them from making money from themselves.

The NCAA is going to lose the lawsuit and likely have to pay a very large sum of money to the players and potentially have further legal action taken against them. It may be the end of the NCAA.

There will be no more NCAA games.

      • CasperTFG

Well….college athletics with remain but, no czar/regime overseeing it.

      • FknTwizted

lol if that holds water I’m going to laugh… 1st all players in the games are not named i.e. (qb#14), 2nd have you seen any of the players in that game have any likeness in it? I also think it is humorous that college players want to get paid… easy go to the nfl or a semi pro league.. to the fact that they are getting a free ride with scholarships to get an education whether it be actual degree or a 4-5 yr degree in football they are still getting paid. Last time i checked college tuition isn’t cheap (http://nces.ed.gov/fastfacts/display.asp?id=76). Just go ask a intern working for a company what they get paid….

  • Brandal Wagener

I seriously hate free to play. I’d much rather pay my 5-7 dollars outright

    • I don’t mind free to play, but if ads are really in my face I would pay 1-5 dollars as long as its worth it

      Start working at
home with Google! It’s by-far the best job Ive had. Last Monday I got a new
Alfa Romeo from bringing in $7778. I started this 9 months ago and
practically straight away started making more than $83 per hour. I work
