LG Posts G2 Teaser Video, Inadvertently Creeps Us Out

LG G2

Showing little shyness from a good tease, LG posted a video to their YouTube account today, giving a quick glimpse of the upcoming G2 device. The video itself is quite weird, as LG attempts to personify the G2, mentioning that the device is inspired by everything about you. It’s inspired when you smile, when you dream and even when you cry. The company is attempting to relay that the device learns from us and our actions, but I think it came off as a bit creepy. Maybe that’s just me.

In the video, LG does confirm that the device sports back-facing volume and power buttons, so that’s a bonus. We have seen great leaked pictures and a video of the device, but nothing was technically “confirmed” from LG.

As mentioned at the end of the video, LG is hosting an event in New York on August 7. We will be in attendance, bringing you all of the info as it comes out.

Well phones already run our lives.. Try getting somewhere new w/o navigating via google maps. I mean we cant leave our homes without them. They are with us all the time and we do most of our communicating thru them. How could they not know everything about us. lol.

That’d be nice… Also, did you notice some of those have massive grammar and spelling mistakes?

  • Victor Stuber

Breaking: LG introduces most expensive ad ever by buying thousands of stock photographs.

    • michael arazan

Probably bought them from FaceBook, they do it all the time. They sell the photos people post, once you upload anything it becomes the intellectual property of FaceBook

  • FAL_Fan

That’s nice that it thinks I’m perfect, I also think I’m perfect, it’s just everyone else and every other phone that apparently don’t think so…that was kinda creepy, I like “smart” technology and all but I don’t want to see Skynet in my lifetime thank you.

  • jboogie1289

Uhhh, what in the hell did i just watch???

  • Trevor

Aw they called me perfect. How sweet.

    • Captain Spaulding

No it didn’t. It called ME perfect.

      • Trevor

They’re trying to teach us that we’re all perfect, in our own ways. Barf

You take over 9,500 dumps in a lifetime.

You take over 9,500 dumps in a lifetime.

I knocked that out last week alone.

WARNING: if your prone to seizures don’t watch

  • wewewewe

mh, i really prefer more “technical” ads like the ones for the xperia lineup. the g2 seems to be very promising, though.

  • Mvrcel Lgt

I want it to do my homework!

  • Payaso

Thinking of moving up from the Galaxy S4 to this, or the note 3. Impress me!

  • tyguy829

    Agreed. Creepy…

    • El_Big_CHRIS

How come? I didnt see anything that would creep me out.

      • tyguy829

i just mean the whole idea of it being the phone talking in the commercial at the end “everything about you inspires me” me=phone. so it was the phone narrating the teaser and telling you all these life facts. i find that kinda weird

Reminds me of the Droid Eye, except white. Like from the OG Droid teaser commercials.

  • Rocketjrb

Good thing I don’t have epilepsy or that commercial would given me 1 seizure.

    • Eric

I have it, no it won’t….

  • Iron_Catastrofe

“Come see how LG G2 is creepin’ on you” lol

  • AndreKP2124

I hope this device have unlockable or unlocked bootloader. That might be awesome especially because this phone have On-screen buttons.

  • david allen stevens

    Thanks NSA.

    • AndreKP2124

      Why NSA?

    • Guest

Dude you’re not that interesting, so the NSA doesn’t give a $hit what you’re doing.

  • Captain Spaulding

That phone told me that I’m perfect. I have to buy one now.
