Google Play Sale on Books, Movies, Music, and More Also Goes Live

As we move along through this Wednesday of deals, Google Play has also made their sale on mainstream music, movies, magazines, and books live. By hitting up the Play store, you can catch some pretty great deals on content that would usually go on sale for much more under any other circumstance.

What’s also nice is that these aren’t crappy titles either. There are good movies such as Superbad, Super 8, and Battle: LA for $3.99+ along with pretty good music as well, like Snoop Dogg (or Snoop Lion) and Coldplay for $3.99, and much more.

Go grab these deals while they’re still hot!

I thought Ocean HD would be a great buy for .25. It looks pretty but my phone was hot a I don’t know what after an half hour of usage. Thanks to a GPGC, I didn’t lose much. Wouldn’t have even if I had used to CC. Looking forward to the next 5 days of .25 apps.

So where is the Perry game for $0.25? I see it as an icon on the ad, but in the store it’s still $0.99..

Damn it I have just bought Asphalt 7 for full price… Still it’s worth every cent… even hadn’t it come out of my 25$ free credit that came with my N7 xD.

At least there’s a Daft Punk album in the mix; the rest of those are horrid.

25 albums that changed the world? Coldplay changed the world? What did they do, teach the world how to vomit? Seriously though.. coldplay is in no way world changing.

    • michael arazan

cold play is a panty dropper, women’s panties come off easier to cold play.

So is GHB but that doesn’t make the use of either right.

is this only for today or will there be a sale or this sale tomorrow?

  • ShadrachCA

Is that the right link for magazines? It links to the top 25 selling mags, but none seem to be discounted.

      It’s all about “25″

*waiting for Kellex to come in and give a shout out to his favorite game on sale, Granny Smith*

    • http://www.droid-life.com/ Tim-o-tato

I may not be Kellex, but Granny Smith rules! :P

      • lennonpaul

I love Granny Smith! Can’t wait till they release more levels

Yeah, the movie “sale” prices are the same bloated pricing that seems to be the norm now with streaming movie services. That is why I do not use them.

    • JoshGroff

This ^ I’d rather go to Red Box or use Netflix than to pay $4 to watch one movie on my phone/tablet. Also, the buy prices are almost as expensive as the DVD if not more… At that rate, I’ll rip the DVD myself for a digital copy and use the disc as a coaster…

      • chaosrv

Lately I have been checking out the used blu rays Red Box has for sale…$5 a pop. You don’t get the fancy cases, just the Red Box packaging but I haven’t had an issue with any of them yet.

        • JoshGroff

I did that with a few regular DVDs. Wasn’t aware the Blu-Rays were also $5. :)

      • michael arazan

Do theyeven get special feature and gag reels or deleted scenes?

        • JoshGroff

Ooh, good question. I don’t know. Will check with the Transformers movie that came with the N7 to find out, but I doubt it.

    • c4v3man

They actually sold movies for $5 occasionally… suprised they aren’t even matching THAT pricing. It’s kinda pathetic anyways… just have an app sale and call it good. No reason to get our hopes up and trick us into thinking paying $14.99 is a good deal for a movie.

  • jaredgreenwald

I’m not impressed by the “sales” on the items other than the apps. The prices are good for the books, but nothing I’m interested in. The prices for the magazines and movies are more than I’m willing to pay for those.

  • carlinscuderi

In Canada, we can only buy the Apps…. PS, the link to movies isn’t working.

    • Yosef

You’re luck – in Soviet Russia, the Apps buy you.
