New DROID Charge Commercial is Massive.

We’ve always been a fan of DROID campaigns, but this new set of ads for the Charge is shaping up to be one of the best yet.  This is a follow-up to the teaser we saw last Friday.

Maybe they blocked it because the image on the huge screen resembles testicles and a penis? Hence the word private.

I am not of fan of these types of Droid commercials. They may look cool and thus attract the attention of the same folks who love seeing cool special effects in the latest sci-fi Hollywood movie, but I really really would like more information about the actual functions of the device.

Face it, people, buying the latest wireless device is NOT gonna turn you into Neo from the Matrix or whatever fantasy/warrior hero tickles your fancy. Don’t let advertisers manipulate your emotions, guys! Make rational buying decisions!

All these Droid commercials, while they are visually stunning, need to spend a lot more time showing what the phone is and what it actually does. Great it levitates my change or sucks me into an alternate reality, so on and so forth, but it really doesn’t do any good in selling me on the great aspects the phone has to offer, which oddly enough usually has nothing to do with the commercials they are in.

That’s because this is for the Droid Charge, and there are no good selling points to highlight! Hence the flashy graphics, etc.

youtube is having issues, 4g is having issues, and playstation 3 is havng issues. could this be the downfall of electronics? could all technology as we know it stop working and send us all back to the 90′s technology?

Nice looking commercial. Ugly looking phone.

They better come strong with the bioarga! Its commercial better make me want to forget we had to wait longer for it.

I love the Droid theme, but the “droid” noise really needs to be cleaned up. There is definitely the equivalent of visual noise in this sound (I know it sounds weird, but I don’t know how else to describe it). Oh, and also, there should really be a Transformers themed phone (maybe a Droid). The commercials are already so similar..

  • Octotron

I miss the attack ads, but this is kinda neat. I wish it tied in more with the Droid X commercials.. some continuity would be cool.

Even if the phone itself is a bit lacking, you can’t say they don’t know how to brand.

with all that crapware, and the way it slows down the phone, its a sad day for the Droid franchise.

EPIC FAIL…..this video is private? Meh, these commercials are all the same anymore anyways. It probably dont even show the actual phone itself anywhere in the commercial.
