For the launch of the Pixel 11 series, Google is running better deals than we have seen from almost anyone in recent years. While Samsung keeps dialing back the free storage upgrades and lowering trade-in values, Google appears to be boosting trade-ins, making them instant discounts, and giving you bonus discounts that can be stacked.
One of the best Pixel 11 Pro pre-order deals works by you giving up your Samsung phone, like a Galaxy S26 Ultra, getting $700 instantly discounted from that, and then seeing how big of a discount you have from this Google Store promo or from Google Play rewards.
As an example, I have a $150 discount through Google Play, so if I trade in a Galaxy S26 Ultra ($700 value) for a Pixel 11 Pro (256GB), I would pay just $249 today.
Now, is that a good value for a Galaxy S26 Ultra? It’s not terrible, but it certainly doesn’t match what Samsung would give you for it. The point is that Google will give you a lot for your trade and they’ll take the value off as a discount today.
You then stack that instant trade-in discount with Google Play or Google Store cash discounts and all of a sudden the Pixel 11 Pro is a really inexpensive phone. You could also trade-in your older Pixel phone, like the Pixel 7 Pro ($380 off), Pixel 8 Pro ($460 off), or Pixel 9 Pro ($500 off).
As a reminder, once pre-orders are over, these companies tend to shift those bloated trade-in values back down to normal. Your chance to take advantage of these higher values is almost up, with launch happening August 20.
BONUS: Let’s also not forget that during pre-orders, Google will give you a huge discount on a Pixel Watch 5 (like free or $250 off) or $200 in Google Store credit to spend on accesories.
