Samsung received FDA clearance for Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro to act as hearing aids, with the feature set to roll out later this year.
To utilize this, owners will take a 5-minute hearing test via an app on a supported pair of earbuds. Once the test is complete, the buds will customize the hearing aid experience by amplifying high frequencies, whispers and distant voices, utilize noise cancellation to eliminate certain sounds, and use beamforming to “create a more focused sound.”
Samsung notes that Buds 3 Pro and Buds 4 Pro will have access to this in approved markets later this year.
