Google Fit Users Will Switch to Google Health Later This Year

As a part of today’s flood of Fitbit and Google Health news, there’s also something for Google Fit users to be aware of.

With Fitbit users all having to switch over to Google Health in a couple of weeks, since Google Health is the future of health and fitness from Google, you may be wondering where that leaves Google Fit and its data? Google says there is a plan to migrate Google Fit users over to Google Health, but it’s going to take some time.

Tucked into the many announcements this morning, Google said that they will “invite Google Fit users to migrate their data into Google Health app later this year.”

So we don’t get a date and it may be an invite situation rather than a forced on. All of the details are mostly a mystery here, but for now, just know that at some point in 2026, Google will say, “Hey Google Fit user, want to come play in Google Health?”
