As a T-Mobile customer, try to think about the worst thing that could ever happen to the company you pay each month for wireless service? Oh, come on, that’s easy – the worst company on Earth could buy T-Mobile. And that’s the news today, according German outlet Manager Magazin. Sources suggest that Deutsche Telekom, the company that owns T-Mobile US, wants Comcast to buy T-Mobile. Ugh. UGH.
Deutsche Telekom is apparently in talks with several potential buyers, one of which is Dish. They consider Comcast to be the most “attractive buyer,” though, because they are financially stronger or some garbage. All I know is that Comcast is evil and the thought of them owning T-Mobile is a tough one to swallow.
Everyone declined to comment or was not reachable, of course.
Meh.
Update: A “source familiar with Comcast’s thinking” told ArsTechnica that Comcast is not interested in buying T-Mobile.
Note: That clickbait image is from Kim’s T-Mo Super Bowl commercial. It’s related, sort of.

If I understand properly T-Mobile America isn’t really owned by them anymore. At least in a majority holder sense.
PLEASE GOD!….NO, JUST NO…T-MOBILE SUCKS TOO. Two companies that suck! augghh DOUBLE CRAP!
That’s okay, I plan on getting one of the newer Nexus phones and transferring over to Google fi. I know it’ll still use the T-Mo network, but at least I’m putting my stock into our Google overlords. May we all chant and present our sacrifices to Google.
Yeah Comcast would start charging as much as Verizon, virtually killing off T-Mobile in months. Dish Network/Echostar wouldn’t be a bad idea. Pretty sure they bought Blockbuster for like $5 after ruined by red box.
I knew there was more reason to like this site… Mutual Hatred For Comcast!
Gonna hold on to VZW and my unlimited just a weeeeeee bit longer now in the event this report is true.
As long as T-Mobile offers cheap prepaid plans with good portion of data, I’m in, even if it’s owned by Satan himself.
Once they dump these plans, i’ll look elsewhere (although there is not a lot of good choice around for GSM carriers…).
Bahahahahaha!!!! Verizon doesn’t look so evil now, does it?
I’m glad they’re not interested, because I’m not interested in my monthly bill going to Comcast 😛
A year ago, the DT CEO stated that TMo’s business model was unsustainable. Legere’s business of basically giving away service to gain customers and market share was/is not a sustainable model. This action by DT is most likely a consequence of that. Sell TMo while they have a high customer base. Let someone else worry about how to make money.
When you operate at a loss every other quarter generally your parent company wants to bail out. I could see them being sold any day now to a number of different companies.
Disgusting. So much for the uncarrier.
Kellex’s emphasis on carrier unlocked phones is validated again.
Project Fi is looking even better, where is my invite? Maybe the FCC will say “Forget it Comcast”
Problem with fi is that it runs on T-Mobile’s network and sprints. So T-Mobile being sold could kill fi off.
That would be the best possible scenario for Sprint, who would probably get a large influx of customers.
From what I have learned of history of mergers, is when one company says they are not interested, it means, they are already in advanced talks and are making the deal as we speak.
Absolutely
T-Mobile is just taking the long route to sell to Google who is a cable company as well. They already parnter with Google with Project Fi.
Who’s that fat chick in the article photo
^^ didn’t read the article lulz
Yes I read the article. Kim Kardashian is fat.

If this happens it’s very simple for us. We’ll leave T-Mobile. Otherwise, I love my carrier atm
I wouldn’t take T-Mobile if they offered it to me for free.
You wouldn’t take becoming an instant millionaire?
The only way I’d be a millionaire from that is if I turned around and sold T-Mobile to Comcast.
I can’t believe I actually have a reason now to leave T Mobile assuming this is true.

How come the DIsh network with their desire to have as much range as possible get them. I have said for a while now that Dish/Samsung/Tmobile should be one company ran but Samsung. This would give them something Apple doesnt have and noone can say they copied. That is until Apple does then well Samsung just didnt do it right.
Oh my God!
Yeah I would have to think about a swiitch to ATT at that point
yup. comcast and verizon are the worst, i want no part of that (even though i am currently stuck with comcast for internet).
I have U verse and DirecTV. ATT now owns DirecTV which is odd to me given the U verse part of it. Anyway, a switch to ATT as a cell provider makes sense if TMO ever hits the fan.
Uverse customer base is rather small. ATT has no desire to enlarge it as this was just a symbolic move to appease the government. They never had any intention of making it available to the masses.
Uverse is slow as hell, if you’re talking about DSL. Although I agree Comcast’s business practices are shady, their internet service blows everything else out of the water sans FIOS, in my area at least.
“In other news, Satan hopes to become best friend with Jesus”
Maybe I would care if their network wasn’t a complete joke as far as coverage is concerned. I wanted to switch to T-Mobile when they said they would buy out my Verizon contract, but they said I wouldn’t have coverage at my house which is in a suburb of Indianapolis. What a terrible network.
If they do that I’m moving to sprint!
That’ll teach ’em! And I’ll stay with Verizon!
You would regret that move.
Actually…Comcast would have the money to fight Verizon and AT&T….opening the door the for Sprint to do something. This could be good for us…and bad if you have T-Mob..
Ha… I think they’ll have to wait until 2017. Telecom mergers aren’t getting much traction with this administration, which I’m quite happy about.
I think the sprint ad at the bottom of the eye candy’s a nice touch.
Did anyone get “pink-pad’s” opinion on it? (Pink-pad = Legere)
it’s too late for April Fools please don’t let this be true comcast will ruin T Mobile
at least they are honest about calling it a clickbait 🙂 gotta give them props for that.
FWIW, Comcast calls B.S.

Verizon is starting to look good to those deserters right about now.
Not really. They would be right up there with comcrap.
I’ve literally never had a problem with Verizon, ever. Not on the service side, or customer service side. And I got my first cell phone in 1994, back when it was Bell Atlantic Mobile.
Other than delays in software updates and slightly higher cost I have no issues with Verizon. T-Mobile will be cheaper but I already know that they can’t beat Verizons coverage and customer service.
As long as they don’t mess up project Fi, I’m good.
Google is already looking toward the future by investing in the Space X satellite network. As long as it pans out in the next 5 years, we can hopefully rid ourselves of these spotty cell towers.
I can’t wait to see all the nonstop praise of T-Mobile once they become Comcast. That will be hilarious.
Well then, my considering to switch just went out the window. Guess I’m staying with the Devil I know (Verizon), sigh.

No. No.
No: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OTWZltMeorY .
That was fantastic. Thank you
Well that’ll stop the influx of VZW and AT&T customers going to T-Mo. Talk about screwing up a good thing.
Good thing? their coverage was so limited that’s what was killing them. But if T-Mo gets bought and they start running it like their cable business it will truly suck for the customer.
T-Mo was good for who they were good for. They didn’t get the #3 spot for nothing. However, yes their network wasn’t doing them any favors with the masses at large.
She’s gross, and who cares. Maybe if they do sell, they’ll become a big boy network with real coverage.
yeah because that’s exactly what’s going to happen. Didn’t Comcast learn from the TWC deal that nobody wants them to acquire anybody?
Huh it was dropped due to the fact that the SEC would not allow them to merge because it would mean a virtual monopoly.
also because Comcast is terrible and they know that they’ll destroy everything they touch
NBC for example.
To be fair NbcUniversal was already going down the tubes before the Comcast acquisition
Yeah, I don’t see that happening. So many people like myself have been burned by Comcast that just mentioning the name will make them turn around and never deal with them again. They will lose a lot of the customers they gained by this purchase.
*real cleavage
Now I get why they use Kim as a Spokesperson “No Real Coverage”
Yikes.
OUCH! OUCH! Talk about a kick in the nuts to start off your hump day.
