Google is really into updating icons right now and we’re fully here for it. There’s something about a new icon that just makes everything feel new, even if nothing underneath it has really changed. For example, the new Android Auto logo is rolling out and I’m not sure it brought with it any other changes.
The new Android Auto logo is green instead of blue, just like we saw with the new Calculator logo.
The change to this logo is rolling out in the beta program for Android Auto as v17.6.663424. If you aren’t yet participating, you can hit this link to join or visit the Google Play page for Android auto on your phone and look for the beta section’s “Join” link.
As for what else is new within the app, we aren’t seeing anything, at least upfront and without connecting to our car this morning. I walked through all of the settings and they still appear to be the same.
