Google Play Books Gets Beta Features for Those Who Read a Ton

For anyone who fancies themselves a digital bookwork, the Play Books team is rolling out beta features you can try out right now in your own digital library of books.

As of right now, there are only three features to choose from.

  • Custom Shelves: Create shelves to organize your books
  • Searching/Sorting: We’ll add icons at the top of every shelf to help you find books in your library
  • “Ready to Read” Shelf: You’ll automatically get a shelf called “Ready to read” that contains books that you haven’t finished yet

To enable these beta features, follow the Play link below. Click the Settings button in the top right and select “Beta Features” to get started. You can enable all of the new features or just the ones you find most useful.
