SHIELD TV is getting Amazon Alexa integration, thanks to a new skill that is launching for Echo owners. With it, you’ll be controlling your Android TV box from NVIDIA with nothing but your voice. Clutch.

As SHIELD TV owners likely know, NVIDIA’s box already offers Google Home/Assistant support, so the added function of Alexa integration is only making the device more appealing. With the skill, you can tell SHIELD to turn up the volume, pause playback, turn on/off SHIELD, plus more. A few list of commands can be seen here.

To get started, head into the Alexa app on your phone, then search for and enable the NVIDIA SHIELD TV skill. Complete the setup and log into your NVIDIA account, then you’re good to go.

To celebrate, anyone who purchases a SHIELD TV today through November 10, 2018 from Amazon or Best Buy will receive a free Echo Dot (3rd Gen) for free.
