The $400 discount is applied as a $200 instant discount and a $200 series of bill credits. Yes, these types of bill credits. So for a 64GB Pixel 2 XL, you’ll get a monthly payment of $18.74 per month for the next two years, since that $200 bill credit is spread out over the life of a device payment plan. Also, in order to get that $200 instant discount, you’ll need to activate with Verizon right away.

We don’t love these types of deals, because they are 2-year contracts dressed up as big discounts. But as we’ve mentioned in the past, if you plan to stick with Big Red, these aren’t the worst things we’ve ever seen.
