Starting today, Verizon says that parents now have “access to the most comprehensive mobile parenting tools in the industry” with their new Verizon Smart Family service. Formerly Verizon FamilyBase, this paid-for service gives you control over almost everything on your kids’ smartphones.

With the Verizon Smart Family app, you’ll be able to track the location of your child, control the content they see on the internet and in apps, block social media, messaging and gaming apps, and take back family time by setting limits on usage. You can also see the battery life of their phones, monitor text and call history, and even control the experience whether they are on WiFi or data.

For pricing (What, you thought this was free?), you can use Verizon Smart Family for $4.99 per month. That price includes everything I listed above except for location tracking. If you want location tracking as a part of the plan, you’ll pay $9.99 per month.

For more info, head over to Verizon’s Smart Family site.
