Google I/O dates and location seem to have been set. Thanks to a “save the date” page and the work of a bunch of nerds on a cryptic Tweet from Google, we are expecting Google to announce that I/O 2017 will be held May 17-19 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre.

Google held last year’s I/O at the exact same location, which just so happens to be across the street from Google’s campus. While the location is great for Googlers attending the event (because they can walk or bike to talks and presentations), I can’t help but wish Google was looking to return to downtown San Francisco for 2017 where lodging and transportation to and from are much simpler. Last year, the layout was kind of a mess, it was 125-degrees every day, lines for talks exceeded room limits without attendees knowing until they were shutdown at the door after waiting, and the whole thing just didn’t work that well, at least in my opinion. But hey, a new year could mean better planning! I’ll stop complaining now. The keynotes were at least fun, on the huge amphitheatre stage, right?

Either way, mark your calendars. Before long, we should know when tickets will go up for sale and how you’ll go about purchasing one.

UPDATE: Google has now confirmed the date and location.
