Last night, Toshiba unveiled their new lineup of refreshed Excite tablets. In total, there are three new models, the Excite Pro, Excite Write and Excite Pure. Both the Pro and Write models feature a glorious 2560 x 1600 PixelPure display, as well as being powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 processor, a chip that we are happily starting to see be adopted by manufacturers. As for the Pure tablet, it runs last year’s Tegra 3 chip in order to meet a low $299 price tag, while also offering exceptional performance.

All three tablets will come out of the factory running Android 4.2+, but both of the higher-end models will be equipped with 8MP back-facing cameras, while the lower Pure device features a 3MP shooter. They feature microSD slots, micro HDMI out and stereo speaker setups.

In terms of pricing and availability for each tablet, it goes like this – The Pure, priced at $299.99, goes on sale through select retailers on June 25, alongside the Pro ($499.99) and the Write ($599.99). National availability will begin sometime in early July.
