dodcase

One of our favorite case makers, DODOcase, is hosting a mega-sale on all products over the next few days. They are a San Francisco based company that hand-makes book-style cases for devices like the Nexus 7, Nexus 10, Galaxy Tab 10.1, and iPads using eco-friendly woods and fabrics. They also make these snazzy little wallet or pouch-style cases for phones (some tablets too) using premium leather and other materials. We took a look at their bookcases (for Nexus 7) and pouches (for Nexus 4 and Galaxy S3) for a number of devices a few weeks back, and are still using them to this day. These are premium products, to say the least.

New Nexus 4 Accessories Arrive on Google Play – Headphones With Microphone, USB Cable, and Power Adapter

Moments ago, Google introduced three new accessories to the Nexus 4 family. The N4 listings include a pair of wired headphones for $19.99, standard USB cable for $9.99, and a power adapter at $15.99.

The accessories aren’t necessarily anything groundbreaking from what we can tell, but the headphones do at least include flat tangle-free cords, aluminum backing, double rubber ear pieces, and a microphone for taking calls. The USB cable and power adapter on the other hand, are exactly what you think they are. Need a spare charger combo? I guess this is an option.

New shipments of Google’s Nexus 4 are arriving with a couple of tweaks that were not a part of the original device. As you can see from the images above and below from Mobiflip, the changes are incredibly minor, yet still may offer something we could have used a couple of months ago – protection for that glass back.

Nexus 4 Devices Seeing Plenty of T-Mobile LTE Action Thanks to Newly Live Markets

Remember how surprised we were to see the Nexus 4 attaching itself to random 4G LTE networks (AWS band) shortly after release in places like Canada? And how we were simultaneously holding out hope that T-Mobile would launch their AWS LTE network so that we wouldn’t miss out on all the fun? Well, before that ever happened, Google updated the device to Android 4.2.2 and essentially killed off those chances. But, thankfully for us, there is still hope now that T-Mobile has officially launched their AWS LTE network in seven cities

This week, there was an overwhelming cry for us to feature BAMF’s Paradigm v3.1 for Custom ROM Friday. We touched on the original Paradigm last year, but it looks like there has been some major updating going down since then. It is based off of Android 4.2.2, and brings some killer custom features, coupled with great speeds and long battery life. What else could you ask for in a custom ROM?

Spec Comparison: Samsung Galaxy S4 vs. HTC One vs. Nexus 4 vs. iPhone 5

Oh yeah, it’s spec comparison time. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is all sorts of official, so let’s see how it stacks up against the HTC One, LG Nexus 4, and iPhone 5, three of the most talked about phones of the last year. One one hand, we have HTC’s new flagship which the company hopes will save it from extinction. Then we have Google’s baby, the stock Android-toting Nexus 4. And finally, this wouldn’t be a proper Samsung Galaxy comparison if we didn’t toss in whatever Apple’s current phone is.

White Nexus 4 Bumper Spotted in the Wild, Now We Just Need the Phone

A white version of the Nexus 4 has been on our radar since the phone was first introduced back in October of last year. At that time, retailers like Carphone Warehouse were listing a white version as being available soon, though there were no pictures at the time to prove such a version existed. Then January arrived, and some lucky soul was able to spend a few minutes of quality time with white Nexus 4. Boy, was it pretty. But since then, we have yet to see it surface again, nor have we been given a release date.

Giveaway: Win One of Three dbrand Nexus 4 Skins (Update: Winners Picked)

N4 Skinz dbrand

I have been playing around with the idea of throwing on different types of skins to the Nexus 4 recently. It is the perfect device for adding such an accessory since it has a completely flat surface on the back, but I was somewhat hesitant about covering up that beautiful glimmering backside.

Well, I found some skins from dbrand that will actually make the Nexus 4 look even more bad ass, so we went ahead and got a few extra so we can give a few away.

The skins are well made, ranging in textures, colors, and feel. The one I was most drawn towards was the black carbon fiber and it really lived up to my expectations in terms of shine and feel. We also had them send along a white faux-leather skin, as well as a grey aluminum one. The leather skins come in a large range of colors from blue and purple, to neon green and hot pink. But enough of talking them up, let’s get to giving.
