  • Forget you guys. This phone will work for me. {{-_-}}

    Sorry, Moto X. {{-_-}}

  • Nadeem Ansari

HTC One Max with its Gigantic 5.9 inch FULL HD Display and not-so-ground breaking specs is here! Is this Behemoth for you? Check out the full review to know what happens inside only at http://goo.gl/ibDloS

  • Ron_Swanson

android central has a review and video walkthrough up already for those interested….

  • instrument

HTC, more bezel then a blackberry z10!

    • Daeshaun Griffiths

      In defense

      • instrument

are we pretending the pre didn’t have a gesture area 20 years ago?

      • instrument

Ahead of its time? Palm pre had a gesture area……so..no.

  • Sporttster

HTC really screwed the pooch with this and the One. Had they included a sd card in the one and a bigger mp camera, I would have bought that awhile ago. Now I’ve already got the N3. I was interested in this, a while ago. Too slow, too little, too late. Someone needs to take the keys from whoever is running this Company into the ground…..

  • Disneyland27

My Droid Maxx is still better despite not having a mircoSD card slot. 5.9 inches is too much for a phone. Might as well get a tablet at that size.

  • Trevor Clement

Awwww how cute, 2GB of RAM.

  • BrothaDave

I wish the original One supported MicroSD cards but the fact that the Max does is a bonus. I’d rather have all my memory internal but at least the option is there

  • roberthenderson

too long, too thick, & too heavy compared to the Galaxy Note 3 (cue that’s what she said jokes)

  • terrorist96

Is the power button still on the top instead of the side?

    • flosserelli

The power button is on the side below the volume rocker.

  • Tim Buchanan

I love my One, but I gotta admit this thing looks redonkulous.

  • So Sorry

No 800, no thank you. Stick a fork in HTC.

    • callumshell1

lmao like it would make any difference to anything but a slight bump in benchmark scores.

  • Haroon Dar

my note 3 laughs at the specs on this device

  • joejoe5709

Othan BoomSound and perhaps the stylish chassis, I think the Note 3 still has this beat.

    • Ron_Swanson

      It Does

      • clobberedchina

I agree but younger me might have gone for that sound system in a big way.

  • PolarBear

I hope next year HTC prepares their 13 Ultrapixel camera at least. If not that will be their real failure…

    • Justin W

I don’t think a 13MP Ultrapixel camera is necessary. An 8MP Ultrapixel would be ideal though – it would excel in high-resolution low-light images.

  • Stanley Wong

    Phone Screen Mirroring!

  • Cramplehade

Do we know if it has an aluminum back or is it some type of poly?

  • 216monster

Talk about Specs ? Me and my sister are using Xperia Play’s .. under spec’d and still nothing can make me ditch it.

  • Stephen D

    164.5 x 82.5 x 10.29mm
So while Samsung is making screens bigger, but devices smaller and lighter, HTC is just saying screw it and making a huge and heavy phone. As far as I’m concerned, HTC is dead.

    • LionStone

      Boom Sound! 🙂

  • bluemon

I’ll still be buying the device, but only if the Verizon logo actually DOES replace the HTC logo….

  • And I thought the Note 3 was big…

  • tofer

    superfluous phone is superfluous

its this late and it doesn’t have the newest latest and greatest specs???? Maybe I’ll wait…

  • I do like the Global features for travel purposes.

  • crazed_z06

    Note 3 is amused

  • Droid Ronin

What’s this I hear about the One Max battery cover being removable, but not the battery?

  • yahyoh

    Snap 600 , 219g , 4mp ultra crap without OIS , 10.29mm

  • bogy25

    • Cael

They could have put two 4 UP cameras on top of each other and made a 8 UP camera with that width!

  • JBartcaps

They really missed the ball on this device. They could have had something good

    • tyguy829

      *dropped the ball?

      • OneForTheGoodDays

        droppd the mark?

        • tchris

          marked the balls?

      • ReturnOfTheMack

      • JBartcaps

        Did I fix it correctly?

        • tyguy829

        • Adrynalyne

Only if the balls are possessing something or someone :p

    • Guest

      The balls of, who?

  • schlanz

  • StuckOnVerizonForever

Atrocious and hysterical. Good luck getting out of this bankruptcy now.

    • Jarred Sutherland

What is atrocious is the placement of that fingerprint sensor. WHAT CRACK DID HTC SMOKE? I know most people here hate Apple, but at least they get the concept of placement for a fingerprint sensor.

  • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Funny how us tech folks are balking at the S600 vs S800 knowing fully well most of us don’t want this device. Why? There’s nothing specific to offer. I wouldn’t get a phone this big unless it came from Samsung because they actually put thought and effort into WHY the Note 3 is the size it is… Starting with the Stylus and features like running 2 apps at once.

    • EdubE24

Not much to think about…You just wanted a bigger One!!

    • Big_EZ

Why does there have to be gimmicks to validate a reason for a larger screen. I love my Note 2, but hate almost all of Samsungs features, multi window is the only thing I like. Why can’t we have larger devices just because that’s what a fairly large niche market wants?

    • PhoenixPath

“Funny how us tech folks are balking at the S600 vs S800…”

Already have S600…so why even bother. If it had an 800, it might be worth looking at, at least.

  • primarchlion

No wifi, no sale. Seriously though =) I assume it has 802.11ac

    • jbdan

I would say wifi is a given no? It’s showing a wifi icon in the ss

      • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

        • jbdan

Si mi hijo. I replied before his edit 😉

    • Heh sorry, added. 😛

      • Ian

        +Fingerprint Scanner

        • bogy25

…..of all the items listed I wish that one was not added – ifans will scream ‘copycat’

  • jbdan

Is there a way to filter out all the articles unless they have something to do with the N5? /jk/

    • tyguy829

      There’s this…. bit.ly/16Ihzt6

      • mmoreimi

        dude that’s so cool 🙂

      • jbdan

      • ReturnOfTheMack

I’m surprised more people don’t know about site specific Google searches.

        • jbdan

You shouldn’t be but okay. I know now!

          • ReturnOfTheMack

I guess you’re right. I didn’t think about it at first but the only reason I knew of that was from learning a lot of different ways to use Google for research papers back in high school.

          • jbdan

            When I was in high school I used a typewriter lol /yes electric/ :p

        • michael arazan

Also Google alerts, that’s what i use to be notified of New information across the web for Android related Information like Nexus, and you can use questions for specific word groupings for more exact match with it. Emails you with new information almost daily.

      • David Henry

Hah, well played. There is also this http://www.droid-life.com/tag/nexus-5/

  • Booyah

In general, I’m so over specs at this point.

    • Jeralmac

I agree. I have a MotoX and my wife has a Note2. Her “specs” are better than mine and her phone is a year older. However, my phone runs circles around hers in terms of performance.

      • A year is forever in phone time.

      • Adrynalyne

Except that, her specs are not better than yours, other than space and sd card slot.

  • Samvelavich

I feel like this phone is a little late to the party… If it was announced along side the HTC One then it might have gotten a bit more praise.

    • Ron_Swanson

Its not late to the party…..its specs are late to the party.

      • Richard Yarrell

It’s late to the party period. Note 3 trashes this easily.
