Official CyanogenMod Support Announced for Eight New Devices

Yesterday afternoon, as everyone was still dealing with all of the Moto X news flying in, Team Douche took to Google+ to announce official support for eight new devices. Six of them are from Motorola and the other two are made by Samsung. Each device will be receiving a build of CyanogenMod 10.2, which is based off of Android 4.3. This news should be pretty exciting for these root-loving devices owners.

New devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G (apexqtmo)
  • Samsung Galaxy S4 – C Spire (jfltecsp)
  • Motorola Atrix HD (mb886)
  • Motorola Photon Q – GSM (xt897)
  • Motorola Photon Q – CDMA (xt897c)
  • Motorola Droid Razr M (xt907)
  • Motorola Razr HD – GSM (xt925)
  • Motorola Droid Razr HD – CDMA (xt926)

Once builds are live for these devices, you can find them at cm.get.

  • if i’m on the current version of razr hd software 9.20.1 without root would I have to revert to stock and then get root access and install CM or what would be the best route? I have never installed a ROM, be gentke

  • Nanda Kumar

I am running my galaxy grand on CM 10.1.Is it possible for me to 10.2

  • Brady Wassam

My RAZR M is on there!!! Yes!!!

  • kixofmyg0t

    Wait…there was a GSM Photon Q? I didn’t even know that! Damn..

  • josh

Such a stupid question as I know the OG Maxx is getting older but I know it can handle 10.2, its great with 10.1, do you think that the original Maxx will be included? I love CM, I need that 10.2!

  • Jon

Anyone seen any 4.3 builds yet for the Note II? I looked the other day and all I found were two naked crickets too afraid to make a peep.

    • Toasted_Cracker

Not yet. Although liquidsmooth 3.0 should be available pretty soon. It will be 4.3 based.

    • DemoManMLS

There’s one build out for the Verizon Note 2 (i605) that I’m running right now. Outside of a few minor bugs its running great.

  • Kanaga Deepan N

    YAY… 4.3 for my MaxxHD…

  • UpdatesFromHTCAreAJoke

Oh, slick! Droid Razr M is on there! Might be a good replacement for HTC Rezound, which is still on unofficial

  • Nerds Logic

I can’t seem to find 10.2 for the VZW Galaxy Nexus….all I find is 10.1. This is via CMupdate through settings or Goomanager. I am currently running the 8.1.13 nightly

    • Grasshopper239

They haven’t started official nightlies for 10.2. There are unofficial builds you can flash for now

      • Nerds Logic

And that would explain it. Thank you. I will be waiting for official support….nothing I despise more than flashing unsupported then experiencing issues

  • rdrizzle

Alright alright….don’t give me a hard time about this question but is the xt926 the same as the Maxx? I know they are the same hardware except for the battery. I just got one handed down to me and recently considering rooting it since Moto X was a big disappointment.

    • gp126904

The HD Maxx? Then yes the are the same I believe as the OG Razr and Maxx have the same model numbers and use the same software.

      • rdrizzle

        Cool thanks.

    • Jeremy Martin

Yea the XT926 is both the HD MAXX and just regular HD. Same phone bigger battery.

      • rdrizzle

Appreciate it. Then this news makes my week.

  • joejoe5709

  • brkshr

My Droid Charge didn’t make the list? That’s very surprising…

  • tyguy829
