Fruit Ninja Receives Massive Update – Brings New Blades, Multiplayer and Gutsu’s Cart

unnamed

Well, if you are still playing Fruit Ninja (hello, 2010!), go grab the newest update for Android. It brings a massive list of new goodies, including new blades to slice up your fruit salad, the pomegranate (which is supposed to mean something, but I don’t know what), as well as local multiplayer for select devices. To check out the full list of additions, look right below.

What’s New:

  • Gutsu’s Cart
  • Starfruit
  • Bomb Deflects
  • Berry Blasts
  • Peachy Time
  • The pomegranate
  • Tablet support
  • Local multiplayer
  • 8 new blades
  • 7 backgrounds

You better go grab it before it rots.

    app, congratulations!!

will the update come to the paid version?

  • SirLancelotTheBrave

Maybe this will bring us at least 2 updates behind iOS!

Seriously, screw halfbrick. They all but abandoned Android for over 2 years with this game.

    • Chris

Completely agree. Back in 2011 they added this cool Shadow blade and other stuff to iOS. I want to say it just came out this year on Android. I uninstalled Fruit Ninja at least a year ago for lack of support.

The pomegranate was what I believe to be a console exclusive end to the Arcade mode. You slice it as many times as possible before time runs out.

    • vvtim

You believe incorrectly. It has been available on iOS for years.

    Made with “all natural flavors”

might be the best 10 cents i ever spent

Hmm…seems the paid version doesn’t have an update (yet), only the free one.

    • Sean Stone

I too have the paid version not showing an update. Not really sure what the paid version gets you over the free version based on the app description.

      • bagheadinc

I think it’s just to remove ads. Could be wrong though.

        • Sean Stone

Probably, would be nice if it got updated too. Be even nicer if it was updated first, considering we paid for it and all.

I agree. They didn’t update the THD version either (which costs even more). I tweeted them about it, we’ll see if they answer…

      • PuzzleShot

I believe the paid version was first. Then after a year or two (can’t remember how long) they released a free version with absolutely no difference between the two (and I believe they marketed it as such). If you can still buy the paid version, I imagine it’s just to give them money.
