when it has support for flash player, I’ll care.

  • RARU

I still can’t save Downloads to SDCard. My default settings save everything on the internal storage, not good. Is there a workaround?

  • zepfloyd

Fixes the tab count number alignment in the tab button on the DNA.

  • Steve

dolphin browser is the only way to go

  • bogy25

    • You’re kidding right? They can’t even fit the back button let a lone a home button

  • interstellarmind

Wow, this update has made Chrome noticeably faster. This thing screams! Great job, Google!

  • As badly as I want to use chrome on my phone….it is still slow as balls. I mostly use the stock browser now, the only time i used chrome is if i’m opening a page that i have open on my computer

  • interstellarmind

really hoping they bring the pop-up menu things that stock browser had (like how the stock android camera has now)

  • Posting from it now, MUCH better on my D4. Fast, smooth, even scrolls disqus comments well. Now if it just had text reflow and quick controls.

    • Jon

I still think it’s biggest problem is that you can’t change the User Agent. I like having my user agent set to iPad because almost every website has videos properly formatted to work with the iPad. Under the default Android user agent, Android browsers get fed desktop flash, and since flash is no longer supported, you just get broken videos.

It’s so lame and unthinkable that Google hasn’t figured out a way to display mobile content that already exist for most websites on Android, just like iOS does.

  • Futbolrunner

I want a full screen update!

  • Some websites seem to scroll better…however disqus is brutal… 🙁

  • Sirx

Anyone knows when Chrome for desktops will be updated to not be a extension-dying, video-stuttering, unresponsive-page mess?! Cause THAT would be awesome! I had to replace it at work, and its on its way out at the house, too.

  • jeff manning

Chrome browser is still way behind interms of smoothness compared to the stock browser on jelly bean. I really want to use this app but can not stand the lag

    • michael arazan

And why doesn’t Google make something to substitute mobile flash support, part of having android was so I could watch videos on any site I chose. HTML% is not viable when every website is on flash format.
One big bragging right was showing my friends all the videos I could watch for free while he had to pay to see them with his ios

    • Stock browser can’t even display animated gifs. That’s a deal breaker for me.

  • Michael Forte

It’s definitely faster but does anyone else get a force close if you try to go into settings?

  • themiracle2012

I haven’t been able to copy text (url’s) in Chrome; not even with this update. Big Red GS3.

    • Has always worked for me. Stock D4.

  • Brian Williams

I haven’t used the stock browser in ages.. Chrome has a home indeed.

  • droidbeat

Does it have automatic text reflow yet?

    • Nope :/

      • droidbeat

Then, pass. I love the auto text reflow in the standard browser on the Droid DNA. It’s these little things that add up to a desirable experience. The big things (5-inch, 1080P) rock, too.

        • mgamerz

          Except… it runs HTC Sense

          • droidbeat

            I’m actually liking Sense.

          • LionStone

Exactly…that’s why its a ” desirable experience”… Take for instance when you want to save a new word in your dictionary, I have to tap 3 times to save the dang word with Chrome on the N7. On the DNA, tap once, boom, saved. It just makes sense 🙂

          • mgamerz

That’s strange, cause just now on my Gnex, I typed the word, tapped it twice and bam, instant save in the dictionary.

          • LionStone

Well that’s better than on the N7, but still, stock keyboard on DNA, 1 tap, done.

          • mgamerz

But on nexus devices its system wide.

          • LionStone

            Don’t know what to say… It’s 3 taps on the N7

  • NicholasMicallef

Let’s see whether this makes it perform decently at least, so far I’m still sticking with the stock android browser and I find it way better (not just because of performance but it is one of the bigger problems).

    • EC8CH

this updates dramatically improved Chrome’s smoothness… at least for me.

    • Justin W

The stock browser is what I’m stuck with… It’s Chrome (not surprisingly) on the N4, but I haven’t found it to be that bad. Any of the minor lagginess or bugs that I’ve found have only majorly impacted performance on my N7/N10. Hopefully this update will fix those issues.

  • Silver Veloz

Cool. This will hopefully fix little glitches here and there when using the Motorola Lapdock with the Droid Bionic (ICS).

  • EC8CH

    I think it’s smoother!

Used to lag like a mother while scrolling past disqus comments…

    now it’s butter smooth.

    • Dr_Buttballs

Disqus scrolling didn’t improve for me unfortunately.

    • Justin W

I noticed the Disqus scrolling too, and it sucked to read them on mobile. I also noticed that any time I clicked names or the new comments/replies notifications, it always took a good minute or two to actually load them.

  • TheDrunkenClam

I hope they fixed the issue with the bookmarks widget not displaying the screenshot thumbnail previews of the pages. The widget is beautiful, but its held back by this bug

  • WindedBison

How is this working for everyone? I haven’t used Chrome with the new update yet, but Dolphin browser with jetpack is still the best browser IMO. On my Nexus 10 its speed and smoothness is as close to a desktop browsing experience you can get on Android.

    • Jon

but lately dolphin has a strange bug where the url bar disapears and can’t come back unless you restart the app. It’s been widely reported on their comments.

  • I don’t think you can watch a live youtube stream with chrome. I tried watching the election when I was at work, and it didn’t work. I can’t watch my adult content on it either. :/

    • Chrome….on a desktop. That’s what I meant 🙂

      • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

uhhh…. Lol Tim you can’t mention desktop chrome when the article is about Android Chrome.

        • I can mention whatever, whenever. It’s my body, I’ll do what I want!

*South Park* for anyone that doesn’t know…lol

          • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

You can do whatever you want with your Body on the Droid Life show tonight tim.

          • Justin W

            Aaaanddd this just got awkward.

          • Agreed.

          • Yeah….slowly backing away from the computer now 🙂

          • Sirx

How does the saying go? “Well…that escalated quickly!”

          • Trey Mitchell

            That’s what she said

            sorry I had to

          • mgamerz

misread as ‘well… that ejaculated quickly!’

            … i’ll go now

  • Wow! Drive and Chrome in one day? It must be Christmas!

    • The Drive update was a MUCH better gift.

      • There’s also an update to the Bible app today…I’d say that one’s the best #Jesusjuke 🙂
