iPhone Duo will be talk of the town for a bit, but we wanted to provide Android fans a direct comparison between what Apple is offering and what Samsung offers. We view Galaxy Z Fold 8 as the direct competitor to Cupertino’s new foldable iPhone, and while Google fans probably want to throw the Pixel 11 Pro Fold into the mix, it doesn’t have the sales figures to poise itself as a true competitor. No offense, it just is what it is.

The Takeaway: The thing that stands out immediately is the weight. This is likely all due to the larger battery in the iPhone Duo. It’s quite a bit larger, with that weight gain unavoidable. One of the draws to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is how light and thin it is, but buyers will likely appreciate how “solid” the iPhone Duo feels in hand thanks to the added heft. It’s not a bad trade off.

Which to Buy: The foldable decision, since it now extends beyond just Android, will likely be harder moving forward for buyers. Any first-gen product is difficult, but this is Apple and they took a very long time to make this phone a reality. We assume it will be a solid offering.
