Google+ Local Arrives on Android – Find Reviews of Hot Spots, Reviewed by Friends

The Google+ team introduced a Local tab to the ever-growing social service this morning, bringing you search results for all of your soon-to-be-favorite hangouts. Using Zagat scores, you can discover new places around you or find the places that your friends have recently visited and reviewed.

Android integration is supposed to be rolling out as well, however, we are not seeing it in our app just yet. The browser G+ Local page is live though, and can be visited here.

Another solid addition to Google+, I’d say. Now, to find a way to get friends to switch over to it.

Great Job done wishes from worldfgadget.com Team.We would love to learn from you

I love the new G+, but hate to say it, tons of reposted photos, images with quirky sayings, etc. That’s the fluff that should have stayed on FB.
Don’t even get me started on both services when I get someone adding me and expecting me to add them when all they post is about their business ventures, do that to me and you will find yourself uncircled, period. social=social in my book.

    • Larizard

sounds like you circled the wrong people.

    Google+ is still around??

Not so witty comments are still unfunny?

  • FortitudineVincimus

Its amazing the amount of social related crap you have to wade through to do a simple search.. G+ it, latitude me, check in, check out, read “friends” reviews, like something, unlike someone, start a hangout, avoid a hangout, twit it, youTube it, follow someone… how the hell do people actually function anymore with all of this crap. SO glad all I do is read and post on blogs and nothing more.

What about the “live streaming” feature that was teased weeks ago? When will that feature go live?!

  • jerflash

I want so badly to leave Facebook and use this instead but it refuses to become anything more than another way to follow and interact with developers. Especially, since I don’t use Twitter.

    • JoshGroff

I use twitter to follow developers, VZW, and D-L, Facebook for close friends and family, and G+ still hasn’t received much use.

Sounds like you need to circle more people. Been exclusively using Google+ for almost a year now. I have so much engagement in my stream it almost knocks me on my feet daily.
