A new Google Health app update is rolling out today as v5.07. This update isn’t major, but it does bring 5 fixes or changes that you should know about.
The first big change is a 3-part improvement to manual workout logging. Google says you can now add and adjust more metrics, edits show up more quickly in summaries, and there are more metrics to log when switching from pool to open swim exercise.
Google is also improving the maps experience, by loading them faster, rendering them smoother, and fixing issues from situations where they may disappear from running, biking, or walking sessions.
The rest of the update includes trail runs and incline runs now counting towards your running distance totals, a recalibration of the graph for your weight tracking (makes it easier to view), and a fix for Health Connect on Android where users were losing their connection.
The new 5.07 update is available to both Android and iOS as you read this. You can install it from the links below.

- Maps: We’ve continued to improve the maps experience, with faster loading times, and smoother rendering and adjustments. We’ve also fixed an issue where maps were occasionally missing when using your phone to track a running, biking, or walking session.
