Google Pushing New Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3.2 Update for Pixel Phones

Pixel 9 Pro

Google has pushed a fresh Android 16 QPR2 beta update to all of its Pixel phones today. The update arrives as Beta 3.2 and appears to be incredibly minor. There isn’t a changelog for it at all, so it must be taking care of a bug or two before this thing goes stable and is potentially released next week.

On the android_beta subreddit, Google says we have builds of BP41.250916.012 for the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a, while the rest of the Pixel line-up will get BP41.250916.012.A1.

Assuming you are in the Android Beta Program, the update should go live over-the-air shortly and you can grab it by heading to Settings>System>Software updates. If you haven’t already, you can enroll your device for the Android Beta here. Of course, you can go the manual route with OTA files here and factory images here.

If Google tells us what changed, we’ll update this post.

I checked for the update this morning. I got the "Preparing for System Update" screen and then it disappeared. Now when I search for an update it shows my phone is already "Up To Date"…..

Anyone know if a recent update has / will fix the super picky / low wattage wireless charging on the 10's?

my Sammy's & iPhone charge fine on the Anker qi2 pucks I got, but not my pixels (reg pro / fold).

Ptetty sure a software update could fix, but doubt Google ever will.

Is it reproducible? This is the first I've heard of this. And I have a bunch of Qi2 chargers and stand.

It is between my 10 pro & 10 pro fold but I'm beginning to think it's an Anker zolo qi2 issue.

I have a two USB c port Anker brick with the folding prongs, 47w, 27w to one port 20w to the other which *should be* plenty for their zolo qi2 pucks which state 20w or higher brick "recommended" not required minimum.

Anyway, using that my fold 7 charges fine on them as do iPhone etc. but not the P10's, they may show a brief detection of the puck, quick wireless charging display, then nothing.

Buy oddly if I plug the puck into a Sammy USB c charger that I think is 40w or 45w the fold 7 WON'T charge on it but the P10's will.

So, seeming more Anker related maybe.

US phone battery tech is abysmal compared to the Chinese counterparts save Tesla.

Remember when we'd say things like "I don't know, but it feels snappier after the update to me!"?
