  • Of course I haven’t been on DL in a few days and just made a $149 Asurion claim to replace my wife’s S7E for the 2nd time this year. Screen isn’t technically cracked, but it has a large dead area above it and is flickering and scrolling all over the place on it’s own. Probably dead and needs to be replaced, plus the $149 now is cheaper than the $300 she spent like a week after she got the first one and broke the screen.

    Still, figures…

  • $33 for all devices though. I found that out on a quick visit to the brick and mortar store. So if you have 5 devices on a family plan like me or even more, it’s $33 across the board for all of them.

  • I usually get TEC for no more than a year, and this time I’m glad I did after I cracked my S8 after a few days of using it. Paying $149 and getting a brand new, in its full retail box replacement softened the blow of breaking a brand new phone. Then when I found out that Sprint’s Asurion deductible was $100 more I felt even better…

  • get squaretrade and be done with it. please don’t pay $7 or $11 per month for insurance!

  • Doesn’t cover the S8? ????They know they’d lose money on the most fragile phone in the word. ????

  • Italucs, man. Italics? Totally not fair, man. Cant compete with italics. I may have to dust off my rainbow font,. Its from the 60s. My first computer PDP8. Get out your punch catds, and color in those rainbows.

  • No…it it VZW plan to combat T-Mobile’s new promotion. Where T-Mobile allows VZW customers to switch and keep device without having to trade in. Only require is that you have to add on $15 insurance…..iphones 6 and up and Picels….

  • What a joke. They a desperate for more cash so they sucker more people into paying more money for insurance that you don’t really need. Only insure those things that you can’t afford to replace. Get a good case and treat your phone like a raw egg instead of a baseball and you’ll be fine 95% of the time. Save your money and buy something else.

  • Glad to see companies are coming down in cost for screen replacements. Last time I had to do this was on a Galaxy S3 which dropped and cracked the screen about 3 years ago. Cost $200 for the deductible (plus the monthly fee for the insurance). But I did get a free battery, case and wall charger out of it.

    • That’s why I’m glad I bought the turbo 2 I have dropped this phone more then a dozen times and never crack my screen sure the edges are beat to hell but no cracked screen after two years I’m satisfied with this phone great Job Motorola!!!!

  • They’re the exclusive carrier of the Google Pixel and won’t even fix cracked screens on them lol.

Could be because Google partnered with uBreakiFix for that I guess.

    • I was just thinking that same thing. I dropped mine and it landed face down on a break entry hall which didn’t break the screen but made a few deep scratches in the middle of the screen that drive me nuts. I’ve been so tempted to get the screen replaced but can’t get myself to drop the money for just some scratches.

Kind of also the reason I’ve been carrying it around naked or with a super thin Peel case and just ordered a slickwraps back for it. Might as well risk it and if I do break the screen, my old screen bothered me anyway and gives me a real reason to fix it lol.

    • The $9 option gives you replacement coverage for non-physical issues after 12 months as well (free refurb replacement). This is the coverage I carry and have used multiple times with my S6E.

      • That’s fine for folks who keep their phone longer than 12 months. But that $11 a waste.

      • Since the 7.15 covers loss/theft, couldn’t you just toss it and get a replacement off that instead of needing non-physical coverage?

        • Of course you could. While you’re at it, just rob a few banks and shop lift. Who cares about the law?

          • You’re seriously comparing replacing a broken phone by claiming it lost with robbing banks and shoplifting? Okay, then.

        • The warranty replacements aren’t subject to the deductible whereas damaged/lost phones are.

      • Google is paying 97$ per hour! Work for few hours and have longer with friends & family! !mj178d:

    • Just to clarify the $9 insurance does not include the screen repair option, whereas the $11 TMP is the one that includes screen replacement for the $49 deductible.
