Check Out This Behind the Scenes Video of Project ARA Device Up and Running

With the announcement of its upcoming Project Ara developers conference in January, a video has been posted by the Ara team, detailing one of its Phonebloks development units up and running with Android.

As you can see, the unit is still in the early stages of development, but seeing the process which the Project Ara team goes through to create a device such as this is a real treat. 

As detailed, the team took a lot of time figuring out how the platform would work in general, then got to work on the overall design of the device and its modules. Then, it’s off to manufacturers for creation of the individual modules and parts. Once that is complete, it’s time for assembly.

It appears to be quite the process.
