It’s official, Facebook has announced their new “home on Android.” It’s called Home and is essentially a third party launcher or skin or pack of apps that can be installed on any Android device to make people come first, rather than apps (if that made sense). As expected, Facebook wants to become the focal point of your device every time you unlock it, so having a launcher take control is a major step in the direction of making that happen. We’re still taking in the live event (which you can watch here) and will continue to update this post live.

-Here are the first few compatible devices, launching April 12.
-HTC and AT&T also came on stage to announce the HTC First, which is essentially the first Facebook phone.
-Here are the pretty press pictures of Facebook Home.
