motorola launches android app store called shop4apps

while google is battling with china over android freedom, motorola is teaming up with them by launching a new android app store called shop4apps.  it looks like a new market for developers to submit, market and distribute their apps into one of the largest mobile empires on the planet.

fortunately for US users, we likely won’t have access to this store which means we also won’t have to keep track of new apps in 2 different markets.  should be quite the battle in china though.

How to Submit Your App to SHOP4APPS

To submit your Android apps early for distribution in SHOP4APPS, launching soon in China, please follow these simple steps.

   1. Log into MOTODEV and apply for MOTODEV’s App Accelerator Program.
   2. Your App Accelerator Program application will be reviewed and you will be notified of your acceptance within 1-5 days.
   3. Once you have been granted access to the App Accelerator Program, you may submit your application to SHOP4APPS from the “Distribution” section of your App Accelerator Program Benefits page.
