Yesterday morning, Samsung unveiled a bevy of products at a Premiere event in London, some of which were brand new, others that were previously announced just unseen publicly. We got to see new tablets, phones and even a new mirrorless-Android-powered camera. I wouldn’t blame you if you were unable to list all of them. I was, however, able to play with a few of the new devices and see if Samsung has delivered any innovATIV products. Here are some quick thoughts on the Galaxy NX and the Galaxy S4 Mini.
A Samsung device with the model number SCH-435 stopped by Bluetooth SIG this week, likely on its way to Verizon. In the past, all of Big Red’s Samsung device model numbers start with SCH, and since this phone is headed to North America, we would be shocked if it went elsewhere. So what is it? The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini was introduced this morning as the “practical” version of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S4. The Mini provides most of the experience one would get with the GS4, only it delivers it in a much smaller package and at what we are assuming to be a more budget-friendly price. (more…)
We have seen the Galaxy S4 Mini pictured once or twice already, but still nothing official has come out of Samsung on a potential release date or that it even exists. Today, a new gallery hit the web, giving us a really good look at the Galaxy S4′s little brother. As we can see, it uses that same under-the-skin pattern that we like so much the on the Galaxy S4, but for those hoping it will be the same overly-powered device, just in a smaller package, prepare to be disappointed. According to new reports out of SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy S4′s little brother, the Galaxy S4 Mini is said to be delayed by almost two months. There is no say as to why exactly this delay is to take place, but we are sure there might be a few people saddened by this. Anyone? (more…)
Well, here is the Galaxy S4 Mini from Samsung. Unfortunately, this somehow does not feel as exciting as the leaks for its larger brother, but for anyone that loves Mini Mes, here you go. The device is pictured above on the far right, running a Super AMOLED qHD display (no word on exact size) at 256ppi, powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor. (more…)
