Angry Birds Seasons Updated, Piglantis for Android is a Go

by: | posted 06.14.12 | Apps, Games, News, Videos

Fans of Angry Birds can go pick up the newest Seasons update which features the awesome Piglantis levels. What’s neat about Piglantis is the addition of the water levels that add a new sense of physics, just like Angry Birds Space. You dive the birds into the water where they become weightless, and as they near the surface, they pick up speed and come flying out of the water. It’s a really neat update which is good way to freshen up your AB skills. Go grab it.

The OG version of Angry Birds has just received an update to add 15 brand spanking new levels. They are called the “surf & turf” levels, so expect to see some sand castles and bring your sun screen. When the word got out that the next Angry Birds was to take place in space, the first question many wondered was how Rovio intended on dealing with the lack of gravity in the aforementioned environment. Well, it looks like Rovio had to call on NASA itself and get some help. Since even astronauts get bored on the International Space Station, they had no problems obliging and decided to give everyone a quick lesson on trajectories and the weightless place they live in.

Angry Birds might be getting a bit old and played out, but this is actually sort of a fresh take on the idea and I think it could be a bit of fun. It looks to be a lot more challenging than previous versions and should keep folks busy for a while. Anyone here excited for the new version?

NVIDIA Hints At Possible 3D-Esque Version of Rovio’s Angry Birds?

by: | posted 01.25.12 | Apps, News, Rumors

According to NVIDIA’s VP of Mobile Content, Rovio may be looking into ways of making Angry Birds more visually complex for users. Speaking at the Mobile Game Forum, Mr. Trevett was quoted as saying, ”Let’s just say Angry Birds can do a lot more. There’s lots of things Rovio could do in terms of particle effects or volcanoes exploding in the background.”

In no way did he come out and say 3D Angry Birds, but he did mention that there was no reason Rovio could not move into using 3D physics engines for the creation of their games. So should we all keep our ears perked for a possible 3D Angry Birds? I would play it.

Halloween Angry Birds Edition Is On The Way, With Surprise Guest Appearance?

Rovio is about to release a spooky addition to the Angry Birds franchise just in time for ghoul-filled holiday. We see a few birdies dressed up in costumes and then they stumble upon a bucket filled with candy(?) There is minor speculation (I stress minor) that it could be none other than Om Nom, the beloved creature from Cut The Rope inside the bucket.
