20+ LG G6 Tips and Tricks

  • Lg g6 is the one of the flagship phone in the market. and i really like This information. Thank you so much.

Can anyone answer if the G6 makes use of adoptable storage? I have googled to see if anyone has answered this with no luck. For me I’m leaning towards a g6 but may go with the s8 since it comes with 64g storage rather than the 32g.

    • Gasaraki

It should have it. It’s part of M and N Android.

  • G5

And that’s why LG’s skin is the best, Good, useful features, Clean looking and not cartoonish. Since the G2 I have stuck with them and will stay as long as they keep doing what their doing. Quick memo is the best note app there is. And most all their features are wanted additions. I still can’t figure out why all the hate. I think the haters use their phones differently than most or are real young and only need for games and web surfing.

  • G5

Now that’s a phone. Even with all you guys negative comments. You guys wont know what your missing

I can’t imagine an LG being very usable without a removable battery. Have the v10. Left home at 78%, then exactly two hours later, the battery was at 12%. Only apps used were Lyft, Facebook, chrome, Instagram. And not even for the full two hours. Until LG gets better at battery life, the only way I’d even consider a fixed one if it was 10,000 mAh.

Facebook might be your culprit. Look a the usage, many have complained about a FEW of the recent facebook versions having some kind of problem that drains the battery. For kicks, why don’t you remove the FB app, and use the web app for a few days, see if that helps. If not, then it’s something else.

As far as the exact problem, not sure what it is, some were saying it was calling an android process repeatedly, so the battery usage gets logged under android system. Regardless, you should be getting way better battery life, unless you are in an area with really, really bad reception.

Almost GUARANTEED FB is the issue. 1) Make sure the app is up to date, if it is (or even if it isn’t) uninstall for a week or so and see what a difference it makes. Until FB fixes how their app works (it is always, always always ALWAYS running, even when it’s cold closed) I will never have it on my phone again.

Haven’t watched the video yet, but does the G6 retain the IR blaster?

  • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Hold up….Tim does this stock launcher not support app shortcuts? I have not seen that anywhere…

    • Howard Stern ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

i doubt it….its not on my v20. Its why i’m rocking Nova. even Nova has it haha. LG fails in this department.

      • G5

Hey now!! I haven’t used them once my XL Their nice but wouldn’t consider a fail without them.

    • Yeah, no app shortcuts via stock launcher. Fail.

  • sinfoman

That is a pretty nasty scratch on that phone…

Tim-o-tato- Can you advise, I have a Note 4, which has a pretty annoying GPS drift, which often screws up the Smart Lock – Home. Can you advise what kind of “drift” you may have noticed on this phone?

  • Howard Stern ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

cant wait for this phone to hit the market. gotta warn you about the smart unlock. I see a significant drop in battery in my V20 when that is on. I can expect a good 9-12% decrease in daily power. wonder if its more efficient with the 821 somehow????

That’s part of Ikea’s Nordmarke line of furniture, add-on and standalone Qi wireless chargers that they released about 18 months ago.

            thanks man! appreciated it

          • Mr_Brady

These work great. I used one nightly for two years on my Nexus 6. Ended up selling it with the phone on Swappa.

          • Howard Stern ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

          • lamenting

“Single pad for wireless charging, birch”

            They spelled bitch wrong.

      • sinfoman

Although this part of the description concerns me: ” [Please use QC 2.0 or Samsung original adapter and cable to enable fast charge feature].”

    • Brandon Sobotta

Smart lock kills my G5 as well. Can not recommend.

  • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

I’m pretty sure between 30-36 seconds Tim is trolling Kellen.

About a year ago I was jobless, with only 7 bucks in my pocket, and nowhere to go. I had luck to find out about this site from a good friend, and he recommended me to try, since he was making five-figures monthly. After 4 months on this job, my latest pay was $5789 and keeps rising. Here’s what I do http://Google.com/Mattronin-jobs/$97HourlyPay/068g
