An update is rolling out today to Google Photos on all platforms, one that will make it even easier to share photos with friends and put together more creative automated movies.

In the new update, which you will see in the video above, Google has turned the sharing functionality into a people-sharer, instead of an app-sharer. That make sense? In other words, instead of tapping the share button and then choosing apps to share through, you now get to choose people to share photos with. Google says they will then “take care of the rest,” which would mean Google deciding how to share with those people, be it though a phone number, email, or something else.

As far as the new movies feature goes, Google has created this new “concepts” idea where they are not only going to make automated fluffy videos that are highlights of trips or days, they want to take them a step further by getting truly “creative.” One example of a concept video that rolls out today is a video showing your child growing up by compiling images or clips of your child through the years. Google also says that there are concepts for commemorating the “good times from this summer” and “formal events like weddings.”

Again, the update starts rolling out today.
