Amazon Wireless Hosting Deal on Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 Devices

developer edition galaxy s3

What better time to snag a deal on last year’s top devices than with the next rendition being unveiled in a few more hours. Starting today, Amazon Wireless is hosting a penny deal on Galaxy S3 phones through Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint, but if the Galaxy Note 2 is more your size, you can pick one up on AT&T or Sprint for $149.99 or $69.99.

Both devices have aged quite well and probably won’t have any troubles serving you for two years on contract.

Come on T-Mobile… Why don’t you have any deals?

  • MyStroPro

TIm should get in on the Note 2 …. -snicker-

  • noc007

So there’s usually some really great deal on a subsidised phone after it’s been out for a bit. What’s annoying is they’ll sell it for real cheap subsidized on a new or upgrade contract, but the non-contract price is $600-$700. How much of a kick-back do they get? If they sell it for a penny and get a $300 kick-back, why not just sell it off contract for $300?

Upgraded my wife’s Verizon phone last week at Sam’s Club. She went with the Galaxy Note 2. They had it on sale for $98.88. I couldn’t pass it up, compared to $299.00 at Verizon.

I did this a few weeks back, but I got Best Buy to price match Sam’s Club since I am not a member. Got both my wife and I Note II’s and still have unlimited on our main accounts. Woohoo!!

  • Cwub

The note 2 is $99 at Sams club

  • Matreyu Hermano

Great. Wife just got the S3 for $50 six days ago at BestBuy.

I think an SGS3 would be a decent replacement for the G-Nex, but off-contract or bust for me.

    • Hi

Not quite. G-Nex ROMs are far more stable and better maintained.

      • AlexKCMO

Honestly, I’m only interested in CM10. I don’t bother flashing tons of ROMs, just CM and I’m happy.

When the hell are we going to see sale prices of clearance prices for full retail?

  • bodotdot

Hmm–the link takes you to Amazon Wireless…but it shows these three S3 models starting at $49.99 with a 2-year plan. Is there a coupon code that lowers it to .01?

    • bodotdot

(The AT&T offer, I meant to add.)

      • jpfrasier

It appears that upgrades are not eligible for the .01 price

        • http://www.facebook.com/mtate0408 Michael Tate

All I’m getting on the AT&T GS3 models is $49 and $99 depending on the if you’re a new customer or not. I don’t see the $.01 deal at all.

          • jpfrasier

Ya know, I think you’re right. Maybe it hasn’t officially gone live yet. I’m going to keep on checking back throughout the day.

  • John Ippolito

If this was for upgrades to the I’d piss all over myself, unfortunately it’s not.

    • KB Smoka

$99 still isn’t bad for the upgrade.

      • John Ippolito

Not at all, but knowing it can be a freaking penny makes 99 sound absurd.

There might be a work around. Close your current account with your carrier. Then buy the phone as an individual “New” customer. Do the steps, plans etc etc. Then on the last few steps it asks if you want a new number or a use a old one. Enter your just canceled number. Dont know if it will work but I am gonna try it with my GFs phone when i get off work.

      • sunupe

This works!! My wife was tired of her Incredible and wanted the GS III. We went to BestBuy and bought it as a second line and at the end of the transaction, we switched the numbers. Her contract is up in about 2 months and she’ll just cancel it. That’s what I plan to do to keep my unlimited plan!!

      • MichaelCrackMonkey

This only works if you are willing to pay the early termination fee. Of course the early termination fee might be cheaper than the full retail price of the phone.

  • jpfrasier

My wife is eligible for an upgrade and we were planning on getting the S3 anyway, but when I login to Amazon Wireless my price is still $99.99. Which is a great price, I’m just looking for a steal.

  • Kevin Olson

Too bad they don’t carry the T-Mobile versions….

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Dominick-White/642535026 Dominick White

Yes they do, and just check the site and also if amazon wireless as a deal I am sure wirefly as one as well and just as good if not better

  • sunupe

No brainer…no one should be surprised by this move. If I was in the market for a great phone, I’d get the GS III. The enhancements that have been reported on the IV isn’t enough to make me spend $299/$399. I’d buy the GS III in a heartbeat. However, I’m rocking the MAXX so my next upgrade SHOULD be the infamous X- Phone. (if it materializes)

    • Austin Warren

Isn’t enough? You people drive me crazy saying it isn’t a big update.

      • Rodeojones000

You drive us crazy by criticizing every comment that doesn’t praise the S4 as the greatest device ever. Nothing is confirmed, so stop acting like you know what the improvements will be.

        • Austin Warren

It’s pretty obvious what they will be.

          • Rodeojones000

Really? Even if they are what you’ve mentioned previously (1.8-1.9Ghz, octa core, 2GB RAM, etc), to some of us that’s not THAT big of an improvement over our current device to warrant spending that much money. Not to mention the fact that if you’re a Verizon customer you’re faced with choosing between paying full price or getting it subsidized but losing unlimited data. I’m glad you’re excited about this phone, I really am. I hope you enjoy it. But not everyone cares about it and some of us even dislike it (at least what we believe it will be) for a variety of reasons.

      • JoshGroff

It all depends, to a power user having the higher end specs is worth paying more, but for the average user, it’s not.

  • SuperTongue

Man, really got my hopes up there for a second. Of course the version of the Note II my GF needs isn’t on sale… Damn.

  • John Ippolito

Man I really want a GalaxyS 3 but I can’t afford it at that price :(

    • JoshGroff

I know right, who keeps that much cash lying around?

  • BulletTooth_Tony

    I can’t imagine why they’d do this…… :-)
