DROID Incredible 4G LTE Drops to $99, Where It Should Have Been From Day 1

This morning, Verizon dropped the price of the DROID Incredible 4G LTE to $99 on 2-year contract. In my opinion, this phone should have launched at this price and should be even cheaper today. Now that the DROID RAZR M is out at $99, and is a far superior mid-range device (our review), I’m not sure why anyone would choose the Incredible 4G over it. The Incredible’s poor screen and cheap build quality should deter most consumers from committing to it for 2 years. But, if you love HTC and need to own every Incredible that comes out, you can have it for $99. Or, you could buy it from Amazon for $50.

Cheers Nico!

  • I looked at the screen of this phone and of the Razr M in the Verizon store, and I have to say, the LCD screen on the Incredible 4G is the one thing that is better than the Razr M.

Man, if this phone doesn’t fit your need quit hating. Some people prefer smaller screens. This is probably the only reasonable sized 4g LTE phone out there. I personally prefer larger phones, but my girlfriend was tired of carrying a brick around with her all day. She doesn’t care a purse and girl pockets are a lot smaller than guy pockets. This is why she picked this phone.

i dunno if the razr m is a ‘far superior’ device…maybe superior in certain aspects. the hardware is nicer, but ill be the first to say that the inc4g’s screen is much better as its not pentile. i like the screen size on the m better however. the camera advantage is still on htc’s handset

I predicted it would be free after a month. I guess I wasn’t too far off.

PS: The DROID Charge (yes that old thing from a year before the DINC 4G LTE…..is ALSO $99 only from Verizon Wireless…….

    Gnex is $1 at wal-mart

“I’d buy that for a dollar!” –from Running Man

      • ddevito

        Actually wasn’t that from RoboCop?

That was a running joke created for the movie. However, it was inspired by a story called “The Marching Morons” which had the line “Would you buy it for a quarter?”

  • I have a friend that got this phone, and it is beautiful. She has had zero problems with it.

I dunno why this phone exists. It’s barely any better than the Rezound. The display is actually worse than the Rezound’s.

    • Diablo81588

Smaller screen and a faster, more efficient processor.

      • T4rd

Thanks for elaborating on my “barely any better than the Rezound”. 😉

        • Diablo81588

Lol k. Some people would rather have a smaller screen, so it does have it’s place technically.

The Incredible multi-acronym isn’t that poor of a phone…..it’s a matter of how much poorer it is than the OneX that went out to the rest of the world….

Now give the Incredible 2 and Thunderbolt there ICS update please. kthx

    • Zach Armstrong

Still waiting too. Its taking too long. Never again will I buy an HTC unless the release a Nexus.

      • Chris

I mean i love my HTC Incredible 2, the thing is a freaking tank. Dropped it in the toilet (no there wasn’t anything in there) Pulled it out yanked out the battery and sim. Let it dry for an hour or so put it all back together and havent had a problem out of it, been like 5 months now. There customer survace is deplorable just the same message everytime some asks about the update for both DINC2 and Thunderbolt. They need to take a page from Google/Motorola and take blame and set a date then it wouldn’t be so bad.
