New Samsung Commercial Reminds You That Share Shot on the Galaxy S3 is Awesome

We have touched on this a number of times already, but will say it again – the Galaxy S3 is so much more than just another powerful smartphone, it takes sharing media to a whole new level. Samsung has featured one of its sharing abilities, Share Shot, in their newest commercial that involves a new born and extended family all wanting to see the first shot it. Don’t drop a baby, people, WiFi Direct that biz.

“you dropped the baby,” LMAO. Hey, Sammie is going to sell the phone as if everyone you know has the phone, because they might be selling one to everyone you know. And if they don’t you will tell your friends/family to get one so you don’t have to wait 5 seconds extra to see the baby and/or something that people actually care about seeing instantly.

I’ll use it with my friends who are upgrading from their carrier’s 1st gen Galaxy S.

… nice samsung has used a droid razr for the “other device”, so no more *phone reference. cool move samsung.

Not an overly useful feature. I don’t know a single person getting an S3 as everyone has their own phone of choice they got within the last year from Droid 2 to Nexus, to Rezound. I highly doubt SGS3 is going to be around for long enough before those people upgrade to the next best thing coming out later this year. Seems like a waste of investment to me.
They need to make this capability available through an app, that way any phone could actually use this feature.

Isn’t showing everyone baby pics what Facebook is for?

  • terrible ad

  • bub

    She has a nice ass

  • So this only works if everyone owns a Samsung phone with Share Shot, sounds super useful. Or you could just upload the pics to a G+ gallery and share the gallery.

    • Party Mode!

Hipsters face chatting with the afterbirth, just to be ironic.

          That’s not ironic.

Lol, the whole family has Galaxy S3s.. right.

    • ChristopherLeMeilleur

Man, my whole family has HTC EVO’s. My parents and brother are still contemplating SGS3 for their next phone. It’s not unthinkable.

      • T4rd

Yeah, but the Evo sold a crazy amount and that was when there wasn’t near the selection on Sprint compared to now. The Evo was also a debut of next-gen hardware at the time and didn’t have any real alternatives for a while. Now you get the choose from the Evo LTE, the GS III and even the iPhone. Speaking of which, the iPhone wasn’t an option on Sprint then, so I wonder how well the Evo would have sold if it had been.

        • ChristopherLeMeilleur

Fair point, I was just stating that it isn’t unreasonable to think that families buy similar/same phones together.

Tangent: Yeah, the Evo, which I still use, (broke an Iphone, ..blah blah..), is still kickin’ it. As a phone, it’s still great; and it has a 8mp camera that rivals, if not the iphone, then others that came after it (remember, so many of those have/had 5mp cameras that were terrible!).

10 people in my family have the Galaxy S2.

  • RedPandaAlex

They probably spent a lot of time developing this feature that’s really only useful if everyone has a Galaxy S3.

    • picaso86

and ALL my family members happen to have a S3 – right?!!!!

    • Gnex just needs the app.

  • Scottyb112

@kellex have you seen the new sony xperia ion commercial? Totally mocks samsungs party in the street commercial a couple months back

    • tomn1ce

The sony xperia ion commercial actually looks more like the HTC Rezound commercial…

  • Guest__Comment

Is this much different from the countless (old) apps that let you send pictures to multiple people ???

  • Scott Willenborg

I had that idea a year ago. I’m filing an injunction, no S3 for you.

  • TimothyLMJR

If that was not a girl that dropped it, I would have socked whoever dropped my baby. 😛

EDIT: Is that a DROID RAZR?

    • Scott Willenborg

It was just a Droid X…

      • TimothyLMJR

Looks more like a DROID RAZR to me.

        • will bartlett

          it was

      • Mike

If it was… that baby is fine, and there’s prolly a hole in that floor.
